Annie's POV

I was rushing to get ready, it was only twelve but Alex had just called asking if my whole day was free. He was planning something special for today, though I had no clue as to what.I was brushing my long dark hair, when the thought of me not having hair hit me.

I put the brush down, and stared at my reflection in the vanity mirror for a minute. I tried to picture myself with no hair, not that I would for sure lose it, but there was a big possibility that once I had to start chemo it would fall out.

I ran my hand over my soft hair, and felt a tear roll down my cheek. Would Alex still want me if I was bald? I felt vain even asking myself these silly questions, but I knew I wouldn't feel as attractive without my hair, I had kept it long for over five years. The thought of losing it made me sick.

I pushed the crazy thoughts aside and finished getting ready, just as I slipped my shoes on I heard the doorbell. I grabbed my purse and made my way down the stairs, being careful not to fall. That was another thing, I had to be so careful now, whereas before I felt carefree.

I guess I was having a self pity moment, but I vowed to push all negative thoughts aside and just enjoy my day with Alex. I opened the door to see the most handsome man standing on my parent's porch, the sight of him made my heart speed up really fast. I smiled thinking for now he's all mine!

He looked me over and gave me an approving smile, I had chose to dress casual in blue jeans, paired with a semi dressy top. He was in jeans and a tight fitted blue shirt, that made the blue in his sea foam eyes stand out even more.

" All ready?'' He asked in a cheerful voice, I nodded and followed him to his car. He opened the door for me, and closed it once I was inside good. Never had Randy opened my door for me, I guess he always assumed I was capable, but it felt nice to have a guy do little things for you without having to ask.

He got in and I asked, " So where are we going?" He shook his head and made a zipping motion across his lips.

" My lips are sealed, but I promise it's something we can both do that I think with be fun. But I guess I better ask if you have any motion sickness?" I gave him and odd look at his question, now he had my attention peeked.

" No, well I never had any in the past." He shot me a dazzling smile and started the car.

We drove for about twenty minutes in silence, until he pulled up to a boat marina. He stepped out and quickly opened my door, " This way, please" He said sweetly. We walked along the dock, until he stopped at a very large boat.

" This is us, watch your step." He said, gently helping me into the boat. I looked around the deck, it was a beautiful boat.

" So are you renting this for today?" I asked curiously. He gave a low chuckle that sent chills down my back.

" No, she's all mine. I love going out on the water, not much of a fisherman, but I love the water." I gaped at him, my father had always wanted a boat, and it wasn't that he couldn't afford it he just didn't like waisting money on himself.

" Wow, I love it!" I said taking in the view from the side as he started up the motor.

" Go down below, I love the cabin I've spent the night on it a few times." He said, so while he was busy doing whatever he was doing, I went to check out the cabin below. There were about five steps, and then you walked into what I assumed to be like a living room.

A small kitchen sat off to the right, and a bedroom with a small bathroom attached was to the left. All in all it was huge for a boat. I sat on the comfy couch, and relaxed as the boat pulled away from the dock. I stayed that way for about twenty minutes or so, before deciding to go see just how good my man looked steering the boat.
