Annie's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling great, I stretched and got out of my bed deciding to go for a jog. I dressed in stretchy black jogging pants, and a pink spandex tank top. I put my hair up in a tight ponytail, and slipped into my running shoes.

Careful not to wake Becca up I slipped out the door, closing it quietly behind me. Once I was on my usual route, I put my ear buds in and started jogging. I got lost in my thoughts from the previous night, I felt my grin getting bigger.

I honestly wasn't sure what had happened between Alex and I last night, but whatever it was, was great! I could still feel his soft lips against mine, and the way his minty breath sent small shivers down my spine. I was defiantly falling and fast.

Becca had wanted all the juicy details, we had stayed up talking till after midnight. She squealed giddily when I told her he'd kissed me three times, and even cried when I told her how much I was starting to care for him.

I also made a vow to get back at Becca, even if her plan worked accordingly, she'd still plotted behind my back. So next time I texted my brother, it would be from her phone I thought to myself proudly. She wasn't the only matchmaker best friend, I grinned wickedly.

I rounded the block at a steady pace, our apartment coming into view. I still had my mind on how to get Becca and my brother together, and wasn't really paying attention when my body collided with something hard, and masculine. "Mph". I groaned as sharp pain ran up the length of my body.

Strong, warm hands reached out to steady me. " Annie, are you ok?" I looked up into Alex's gorgeous sea foam green eyes, and saw panic. I smiled shakily and nodded my head, trying to catch my breath.

" Yeah, you just startled me. I was kind of in my own little world." I said trying to laugh it off. His eyes held concern.

" Annie, you should really pay more attention, anyone could have come up and did God knows what to you." He said shaking his head, " Dr's orders!"

I shook my head, as he put his arm around my waist, I leaned into him inhaling his delicious scent. Then I opened my eyes, realizing I was sweaty from my jog I quickly pulled away. " Something wrong?"

I smiled sheepishly " I need to shower, I probably smell as disgusting as I feel." He pulled me close and wrapped me in a tight hug, kissing my forehead.

" No chance, you still smell great, and feel good to me. This feels so right to me, having you in my arms." I sighed contently, he was right I couldn't deny that this felt right.

" Even so I would feel better if I had one," He sighed as I led the way up the steps to my apartment. He sat on the couch flipping through the channels, while I went to get a shower. I went to my room grabbed a towel and change of clothes, and made my way to the bathroom.

I paused briefly to look at the man sitting on my couch, somehow he fit into my crazy life, and looked perfect sitting there. I smiled happily, and started my shower. I could hear voices coming from the living room, and knew Becca was awake now.

I laughed to myself, thinking she was probably grilling him with a ton of questions. I quickly washed my hair and body, and turned off the water. I was drying my body with the towel, and picked up a bit of the conversation that was taking place.

" Annie has a really kind heart, break it and I'll break your face." Becca small voice carried down the hall, I could picture the look on Alex's face. Becca was small, Alex probably stood about six foot to her small five foot figure.
