Alex's POV

I gave a sigh of relief, when I heard the front door open. I was taking my time walking up to my room, my hand hovered on the door knob. I sort of had a plan, but now I wasn't so sure it was going to work. I shook my head, trying to compose myself, and opened the door.

There were candles lit all around my room, and Maggie laying half naked on my bed smiling up at me. I felt nauseated, and regretted agreeing to do this. " Um... so, what do you want to do?" I asked looking anywhere, except the bed. She let out a little school girl giggle.

" Awe... Alex, you can be so cute! Almost like a little boy even." She she said in a pouty voice, that made me feel even sicker. She patted a spot on the bed beside her. " Don't be shy, I won't bite.... hard that is." She added with a rueful grin.

I sat down gently beside her, " We could always just take a nap." I suggested. She raised her eyebrows seductively at me.

" Alex, I think you and I both know what we're going to do." She started kissing my neck, and unbuttoning my shirt. I felt very violated, and shuttered violently. She only took this as a sign to keep going, I tried to push her away.

Which made her laugh, " What's up with you? Your like a cat on a hot tin roof! Calm down, relax, and enjoy." She pushed me down gently on the bed. I felt like I was suffocating, my breath was coming out in short gasps.

" I'm uh, having a... panic attack!" I said, pushing her off of me and stood to my feet. Her eyes went wide, as she watched me gasping for breath. I was only half pretending, she really was suffocating me.

" Are you alright Alex?" She asked, in a frightened voice. But I couldn't answer her, she would know I was faking. I started fumbling in my medical bag, looking for the gun I had stashed in it earlier. " What are you looking for?" Suspicion lacing her question.

" Uh, medicine." I puffed, trying to make it more realistic. My hand closed around the cold, heavy, metal. I pulled my hand out slowly, trying to keep her from seeing. But when my eyes met hers, and I saw the look of shock on her face I knew she had seen it.

" What are you doing?" She growled.

" I just want to call the police Maggie. You need help, I tried to get you that help before it came to all this." I said, focusing the gun on her. She gave me an angry scowl.

" What happened to you being on my side?" She asked, sounding a little hurt.

" I love Annie, and that's never going to change. Maggie you really do need some help, it's not healthy to think the way you do. You'll be going to prison for a long time, aren't you just slightly scared at all?" She raised her eyes to meet mine, tears welling up in them.

" I just wanted you to love me back, was that too much to ask?" She asked quietly.

" Maggie, one day you will have someone who feels that way about you. I'm sorry it couldn't be me, but my heart belongs to Annie now." She let out a soft sigh, tears glistening in the candle light.

" Where's my cell phone Maggie?" She had took it, after knocking me out.

" I can't give it to you. You can't turn me in Alex, I don't want to go to prison!" She shouted hysterically. I heard a noise coming from the hallway, I knew Maggie had heard it too because her body stiffened, face going rigid. " What was that?"

I shook my head, " I don't know." I answered truthfully. We listened for a moment longer, it was definitely footsteps. They stopped outside my door, the knob turned slowly and a haggard looking Annie stepped through the door.
