Annie's POV

The next morning, before either one of the guys woke up Becca and I quietly made our escape. We ran to and jumped in Becca's car, laughing in excitement. It really had been way too long since it was just us girls, doing what girls do best! Shopping!

Becca knew a lot about Panama City Beach (Florida), she had spent every summer here since she was eight years old. We went into an airbrush shop and had them do us up a matching shirt, mine said Becca's BFF, while her's said Annie's BFF, at the bottom of each shirt PCB was airbrushed to represent where we had them done at.

" Becca?" I asked looking at my friend, who at the moment was devouring a hot dog that she'd bought from some street vendor.

" Hm..?" She asked around a big bite, I gave her a disgusted grin and shook my head.

" Anyways, I wanted to ask you a favor?" Her green eyes looked into mine, as she swallowed her big bite urging me to continue. " Will you get a tattoo with me?" Becca almost choked on her mouthful, I squinted my face up in a puppy dog pout.

" Awe, Annie, you know I'm terrified of needles!" She whined loudly, I pooched my lip out even further, and grabbed hold of her arm," Pwetty pwease?" She laughed, Shaking me off her arm. When she gave a deep sigh I knew I had won, nobody could resist My puppy dog face!

We made our way to a tattoo, and piercing shop, Becca knew the owner from her childhood summers She'd met him at the beach when she was ten, and had stayed friends all these years. She opened the door to the shop, " Hey Kevin!"

He grinned widley when he saw Becca, coming from behind the counter he scooped her up in a bear hug. Kevin was a cutie. He had dark brown hair, and sparkling brown eyes, plus it didn't hurt that he was built like a brick house!

" Becca, I haven't seen you since..." He trailed off when he saw me behind her, he cleared his throat turning slightly red. " Since last summer." He finished in a rush, he set Becca back on her own two feet. " Hi I'm Kevin." He said turning to shake my hand.

" I'm Annie." I said looking pointedly at my best friend, her cheeks turned pink and she looked away. I know I wasn't imagining the fact that she and Kevin had some sort of little secret, she glanced back at me.

" Annie, here wants us to get matching tatt's. Think you could hook us up?" He grinned at us.

" I've been trying to get you to get one since you turned eighteen, how did she manage to change your mind." Becca grimaced slightly, frowning at me.

" She did the puppy dog face." She mumbled, face growing redder. Kevin busted out laughing, when he was finally stopped he was out of breath, and wiping laughing tears away.

" Wow Bec's wish I knew that's all it took to get you here!" Becca gave him a haughty ' Huff ' before taking a seat, I thought their banter was amusing and the fact that he had given her Bec's as a nickname was cute.  " OK so in all seriousness, what'd ya have in mind?" He asked suddenly turning his twinkling stare at me.

I licked my lips nervisouly, " I was thinking about getting a small butterfly on the back of my neck." I said looking at Becca, her eyes grew wide.

" You never told me you wanted it on the back of your neck, Annie that's the most sensitive spot!" I gave her a sly smile, and shrugged one shoulder.

" You never asked either, besides I want it there as a symbolic gesture." She arched a perfectly manicured eyebrow at me in question, " See I lost my hair, but I don't view myself as ugly anymore because of it. I see myself as sort of a butterfly, even though I had have so much ugly happening the past few months, I've also had beautiful too!"
