94 | screen text + other effects
***
Let's just all take a moment to appreciate that rhyme...now on with the tip!
So a lot of people have asked me how to do this, so I decided to finally make a tutorial on it!
Step 1.)
Open up a white background, and then write your text in black.
Step 2.)
Then get out whatever image you want. For this I want something light and happy, so I'm going to try a carnival.
Place it over your text like so:
Then go through the blend modes till you find Screen.
And that's it! See guys? Really simple!
If you want you could do it with a black background too, just write your text in white, and then use the blend mode Multiply.
Tada!
Font - Sunrise international
And because that was too simple, I will also show you guys some other cool text effects!
The following is only available for Photoshop users, and maybe GIMP/Pixlr
Step 1.)
Get your cover open and add your text! This is just a really quick example, that I made in like five minutes.
Step 2.)
First you want to rasterise your text layer, then go to Filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur.
Play around with the radius a bit, until you get something you like, then press okay and you're done!

Next tip is only for Photoshop CC users!
Step 1.)
Get out your cover, and write your text, preferably in a large font. I used Oswald Bold.
Step 2.)
In the right side of the text tool bar, there should be an icon that says 3D.
Click on that.
Step 3.)
You should know have something that looks like this:
It is quite confusing at first but you'll get the hang of it.
For now you just need to know that dragging it will change the position and which side appears 3D if that makes sense.
The bottom right has all the options, which you can play around with if you want.
And that's it!
Hope that helped you guys in some way, I know it was kind of confusing!
Don't forget to credit me if you use any of these tips, and show me the finished product too! c;
