Time has never gone so quick.

We've already been back in the enchanted forest for two months and everyone has moved into their homes.

Regina stayed at her castle with Robin, Zelena and Rolland. Regina made sure that there was always a room prepared for Henry when it was her days with him.

I have moved into my parents castle with them and always had a room made up for Henry when it's my days - which it currently is.

Unfortunately, due to my dads overprotectiveness, Killian is not allowed to live in the castle with us. My dad made it very clear that when Killian comes over to visit and if he does end up staying the night then he is not allowed to stay in the same room as me. We aren't allowed to stay in the same room together until we're married, according to my dad. Fortunately, my mother told me to ignore his words because she wouldn't make me wait that long.

Speaking of my room, it has been under construction for the past couple months because the last time anyone was here, it was a nursery that was prepared for baby Emma.

When I first walked into my old nursery I was completely over whelmed, and so was my mom. I think I even saw her shed a few tears as she looked around.

After the extensive amount of construction, my room was finally ready for me to see for the first time. But, me being me, I managed to get lost on the way there.

"Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to my room please?" I asked a nearby guard. Despite the funny look I got, he told me that for starters I was on the wrong side of the castle. Fun.

When I was eventually walking the right way, I heard my name being called from behind me on the stairs.

"Excuse me, princess Emma. A bird arrived with a note for you" one of the maids told me. I had yet to learn all their names, so I turned around slowly as to not trip over my long gown.

"Thankyou so much" I said to her as I gently took the note from her that was gently resting in her palms. She curtsied before turning away and walking back down the stairs.

I turned over the note and saw the cursive writing on the paper. I could tell exactly who this was from, because I've seen this handwriting a thousand times before.

I figured I was already late to meet my parents, what was five more minutes? So I sat down on the step I was on and read the cursive note.

"My dearest Swan,

As your parents have probably already told you, they are sticking with traditions and not allowing me to see you before the ball tonight.

I already know you're going to be the most beautiful woman in all the realms tonight, because you always are.

This may not technically be the first ball you've been to but as it is the first ball your parents can experience with you, I am going to respect their wishes and see you tonight.

I will be waiting at the bottom of the stairs for you, love.

Love always, Killian"

My heart fluttered at the sweet words of my loving boyfriend.

These past few months, he's done nothing but try to win over my dad. Yes, my dad can see that Killian makes me happy but he would still much rather prefer I marry one of the suitors he has lined up for me.

So, as I stood from the step and continued to my room, I was thinking about how to change my dads mind. It wasn't until Henry was coming out of the library and bumped into me that I stopped overthinking everything.

"Hey mom, are you going to see you room? Grandma and grandpa have been waiting for like ten minutes. Come on!" He yelled excitedly.

"I think you're more excited than I am, kid" I laughed whilst he took my hand and pulled me down the hall.  The whole time there he was telling me that he'd already seen it and was saying how much I'd love it.

After the long walk, I was eventually met with a white door and a golden handle. My parents were waiting outside, and they were also more excited than me.

"Okay, Emma. You ready?" My mom asked with a huge grin on her face. I nodded, also smiling.

She pushed the door open to reveal a beautiful room. The walls were cream and gold, the colour of the dress I wore on the first day back in the enchanted forest. There was long curtains hanging near the window that sparkled in a certain light with tassels at the bottom.

There was a huge vanity with a gold mirror hanging above it. On top of the vanity was many brushes, some jewellery and some crystals.

On the opposite side of the room was a queen-size bed with cream and gold pillows scattered on top. On the end of the bed was a fluffy bed throw with white faux fur.

On the big wall opposite the door was four Windows  that were floor to ceiling. It allowed so much light into the room and brightened the whole space.

I waked over to the the giant Windows and gazed down at the amazing gardens that were filled with many different flowers, including the bunches of swan lilies that had been brought for me by a family from the village. I was in awe of everything.

Overall the room was amazing.

A sudden happiness set in. I knew my family loved me, of course I knew that. But now I see the lengths they went to - for me.

Even seeing the nursery - although some of it was destroyed in the aftermath of the queen's curse - there was so much there that my parents had prepared for me.

It was that moment, that I felt like I truly had a home.
