Killian's POV

I climbed off of the horse and tied its reigns to a nearby tree. Taking some berries from a bush, I fed them to him.

And as he ate from my hand, all I could think about was what I'm about to do.

I'm about to give up every memory I have of Emma. Of Henry, the charmings and even Regina. I'm going to forget every moment I ever had with them.

Every moment from Storybrooke will be lost as well as the moments with Emma from our adventures in the Enchanted Forest. I won't ever had made a deal with The Evil Queen. I never would've met Cora.

But it's not to say they will be lost forever.

When Emma is rescued and her magic returned, her and Regina will perform a locator spell and find me. Of course, they'll have to come up with their own plan of getting to me and getting me to kiss Emma.

Knowing myself, it won't be that difficult.

And when Emma kisses me, the potion will be broken. I will remember every moment as it happened, I will be reunited with the woman I love.

I will propose to her. We will get our happy ending.

But for now, I must do something that goes against everything I stand for. I'm going to ask for the crocodile's help.

The horse finished eating the berries and began eating the leaves on the tree. I wiped my hands on my pants and walked towards to the centre of the field.

"Dark one!" I shouted into the open space. I waited a few moments and when he didn't appear I prepared to call again.

But just as I sucked in a breathe, red smoke appeared in front of me and in an instant I was face to face with him.

"Took you long enough, Captain" he laughed.

"Enough of the jokes, crocodile. The day has come where I need your help." Every fibre of my being begged me to stop what I was doing, to leave.

"Oh, I told you it would!" Rumplestiltskin laughed. "I don't lie."

"I'm here now, and I know what I want. You probably do too."

Of course he knew. He knows everything. Including where Emma is and who is holding her captive. Yet - he keeps it to himself and hides in his castle.

He looked at me expectedly, waiting for the next words that are going to turn my world upside down.

"I want to forget Emma" I took a deep breath, realising what I was about to ask. "And I need your help to do it."

"I knew you would!" He giggled, his twisted smile making a reappearance. "Of course, this means a deal. And right now, there's only one thing that I want."

In that moment, so many possible prices ran through my head. I couldn't land on a single thing that would be the most valuable. The Jolly Rodger? Henry? My rings?

"You're shirt." He stated simply.

Huh?

What the bloody hell would the darkest of souls want with my shirt.

"Not the one you're wearing of course. That would be ridiculous. I mean this one!" He exclaimed before flicking his wrist and my red shirt appeared in his dirty palm.

The shirt I wore at the ball. The one I was going to propose to Emma in. The one that still has her lingering scent on.

"No. Absolutely not." I reached for the shirt but as my hand got close to it, he simply vanished. Knowing the dark one, I knew he would be behind me.

I quickly spun around, prepared to grab the shirt, only to come face to face with a sword.

I pulled myself back, moving my face away from the blade.

"What the devil do you want with a shirt? It holds no value to anyone but myself." I questioned. It made no sense.

"Well that's my business now, isn't it?"

I contemplated it. If I give up the one thing that still has some sort of memory of Emma, I might not be motivated to find her.

But if I give it to him, I can get my plan into action. Granted - it's a selfish plan but it's the only one we've got.

"Fine deal. Now give me what I want." I held my hand out, waiting for him.

He smiled again. I'm getting really sick of his damn smile.

In an instant a small bottle landed in my palm. The blue liquid sparkled in the light. I gripped it in my hand and clenched my fist.

"We're done here crocodile." I sneered, putting the bottle in my pocket.

"Indeed we are!" He vanished in a puff of red smoke.

I didn't wait before mounting the horse and commanding it to gallop on, guiding it to my ship.

I returned the horse to the villager and quickly made my way to my ship.

"Captain, you're back early!" Smee yelled, quickly grabbing a rag and starting to clean.

"Aye, I am. I'm going to my quarters. You lot all have exactly 15 minutes to get this ship spotless. We're setting sail and hitting the open seas. If it's not clean, be prepared for my wrath."

"Aye aye, Captain!" They all yelled before getting back to work.

I rushed to the door that lead to my cabin and quickly went inside the room. I slammed the door shut, surely to startle every member of my crew.

I leant against my desk and pulled the bottle from my pocket. I stared at it for only a moment before pulling the cork off and drinking the entire bottle.

My head pounded and my vision blurred. The room span around me and it felt like my legs couldn't hold my body any longer.

As my body collapsed onto my bed, the last thing I saw was the beautiful smile on Emma's face before it all went dark.
