3rd persons POV

The men ran into the castle after the rushed journey back. Killian was holding the unconscious boy in his arms, managing to still keep up with the other two.

Not moments after Henry had collapsed, Killian scooped the boy up in his arms and ran out the door, barely managing to get out before the whole cottage fell apart.

"Regina!" Robin called from the front doors of the castle. "Regina!" He called again when he got no response.

In a puff of purple smoke Regina appeared I front of the men. Immediately, her eyes fell to her son. His eyes closed and body limp sent every maternal instinct into overdrive.

"What the hell did you do to my son?" She screamed. All she wanted to do was to take Henry in her arms and soothe him. But, she knew she wouldn't be able to hold his weight.

So she settled on angrily shouting at the pirate.

Regina waved her hands and transported them to the room on the left of the third floor, the forbidden room. When they all materialised, Henry was laid on a large table in the centre of the room.

There were multiple smaller tables around them, stocked with ingredients and books. Inside secret compartments were old relics that had their individual purpose for being there. Reasons that Regina wanted to keep to herself.

"What the hell happened!" She shouted again, aiming her anger at Killian.

"The lad followed us. I had a lead on Emma and I took Robin with me. There was a witch and she collapsed the cottage" he rushed. He had cut down the story as to save time, he knew Regina didn't want to hear the long story.

"Why is he unconscious? Is he breathing? Did he hit his head? What the hell did you do!?" Everything she said was rushed and barely made any sense. She was breathing so fast everyone was astounded as she was still conscious. Regina started examining her son frantically, checking his head for any open wounds. "Why is there scratches all over him?" Although there was still anger evident in her voice, she couldn't help the confusion she expressed.

Regina tilted her son's head to the left to get a good look at the long and precise cut that followed the lines of his cheekbones. It looked like it had been cut with a blade, but she couldn't be sure. She picked up her sons right arm to see a sharp cut that looked almost exact to the on Henry's face. This cut was almost the length of his forearm, and it was clearly deep.

"Is there anything you can do?" Killian sounded broken. His voice cracked and his breathing was jagged.

He'd already lost Emma, he couldn't lose her son as well.

Regina didn't answer, but she raised her hands above her sons body and allowed her magic to cover him, sealing the wounds as though they were never there to begin with.

As all the cuts disappeared, Henry sat up. Gasping for breath. His eyes were wide and his mouth hung open. Shock covered his face.

"What happened?" He asked, still regaining his breathe.

"That's exactly what I'd like to know" Regina looked away from her son to angrily stare at the three men in front of her, one of which she knew nothing about. "And who is this stranger you've invited into my castle?" She yelled.

"He's fine, he's an old friend." Killian reassured her.

"Of yours? Well then he's definitely not to be trusted" she scoffed. "Enough of that, what happened?" Her tone was low and so menacing it could be mistaken for a growl.

"Henry had heard us talking about going into the village, we told him not to follow us and we assumed he'd gone back to you. But he followed us, and a witch had enacted an enchantment to collapse the cottage we were in. We tried to get him out and as he got to the door he stopped. He gripped his neck and fell to the floor" Robin explained.

"Where did the cuts come from then?" Regina asked.

Henry began to look over his body and became more confused when he saw that there wasn't a single scrape on him.

"I can help with that dearie." Out of nowhere, a cloud of red smoke appeared and before anyone could blink, rumplestiltskin was standing next to Robin.

"What the hell do you want, crocodile?" Hook asked, his face falling to a stern frown.

"I came to help, of course!" He let out his signature giggle. "Tell me lad, what hurts?" Rumple turned to look at Henry, a sinister smile on his lips.

"My back burns and my wrist is really painful" he used his right hand to cradle his left wrist. "It feels broken but it doesn't look it."

"That not possible!" Regina shouted. The long wound on Henry's face slowly started to reappear. He winced as he felt his skin being sliced and blood started to seep out. "How is this happening? I healed him!" Regina waved her hand and a cloth appeared. She proceeded to dab Henry's face and catch the blood that fell.

"Not quite dearie. But if you want to know, I do have the answers." Rumple smiled, as twisted as ever.

"What's your price? You always have a price" Regina questioned. She better than anyone knew that Rumplestiltskin's deals were not something to be taken lightly.

"What I want is peace. I request that none of you shall bother me. Not until the princess is returned. Until that day, I expect silence on your part!" He let out a giggle and spun around. "All but ...... You!" He pointed his scaled bony finger at the pirate.

"Me?"

"Him?"

"Yes dearies!" His smile was wide and his yellowed teeth were on show. He looked at Killian, starring into his eyes. "There will come a time. A time where you will need me" his voice was low and his teethe gritted.

"How the devil am I supposed to know when that day is?" Killian also gritted his teeth and lowering his tone.

"Oh believe me, pirate, you'll know. And you won't just ask more my help. No - " he took a pause and leant in close to Killian's face, so close Hook could feel the crocodile's breath. "You'll beg for it."

Killian couldn't stand it any more - the anger was too much. This demon knew where Emma was and possibly the torture she was enduring. He had information about the balance of Emma's life, yet he kept it to himself.

Killian swung his left arm, digging his hook into the crocodile's chest.

"We all know, that doesn't work" he laughed and picked the hook from his chest with a smile on his face.

"You have a deal Rumplestiltskin. Now, tell me what is happening to my son" Regina demanded.

"The answer is quite simple. The witch who collapsed the cottage, well you see, she wasn't fully aware of her trade. So her spells are - let's say - fragmentary. And because of her incompetence, she performed the wrong spell."

The answer he was providing was only confusing them even more. He promised answers but all he was doing was giving more questions.

"Well, what spell did she perform?" Regina questioned.

"A linking spell, of course!" He chirped. "This witch's inadequacy has linked the boy to his mother!"

Everybody turned to look at Henry. Of course they knew that he knew as little as they did, but it was an instinct.

"You're telling me, that my son is now linked to Emma. So whatever she feels, Henry feels as well?" Regina questioned, doubtful if she could trust The Dark One's information.

"That's exactly what I'm saying!" He giggled again. "Now, I've help up my end of our deal. You keep yours" he giggled again before waving his hands and disappearing in a cloud of smoke.

Everyone was left dumbfounded.

Nobody knew what to say. No one knew where to look. And there was at least four minutes of silence before anyone spoke.

"This means one thing." Killian growled, starring at the cuts and bruises all over Henry. He paid a particular amount of attention to the bleeding slice on Henry's cheek bone, imaging it on Emma's delicate face.

"We try another locator spell?" Robin asked.

Killian shook his head, a vengeful smirk appeared on his face and his eyes darkened with rage.

"War."
