Henry's POV
"Fine" I grumbled. I turned on my heels and walked towards the room my mom was in. Just before I turned the corner, I checked over my shoulder to see Killian and Robin running in the other direction, they were going to the stables.
I am so done with being treated like a child. Everyone still sees me as that ten year old boy that ran away to Boston to find Emma. Nobody believes that I can be of any help ever. They never put their trust in me, not since Pan.
This is a situation I'm not backing down from. I refuse to be stuck on the sidelines while everyone else is doing all the saving.
I made sure I kept a safe distance from both, far enough that they couldn't see me following them but close enough that I knew where they were going.
After they saddled up their horses and left the stables, I quickly ran to the stables and started putting a saddle on the horse.
My grandpa had shown me last month how to saddle up a horse. He only showed me the once, a few days after is when my mom was kidnapped.
My mom. I miss her. Every day all I can think about is her safety and her health. I have all of these visions of my mom being a busied and they're not getting any quieter. Every day without new information just makes my imagination stir up even more crazy theories and worries.
I quickly snapped from my thoughts and finished saddling the horse before hoisting myself up and using my foot to tap it's side, commanding it to go.
She sped through the villages. Clearly she was not up to the speed of the two in front of me, but it allowed me to remain unseen.
Up ahead of me, Hook and Robin began slowing down and eventually climbed off. I fell back a few yards and did the same before tying up my steed to a nearby post.
Just as Killian raised his hand to the door, I ran up to them.
"Wait" I shouted. Both men froze and spun around to look at me.
"Henry!" Robin called. "What are you doing?" He shouted, his tone less gentle than before.
"I told you, I'm helping to find me mom." My voice was more firm than I had intended but I didn't back down.
"How did you even know where we were?" Hook asked.
"For a pirate captain and a thief, you weren't very good at being discrete." I couldn't help the small smile of victory on my face. I had bested them.
"It's obvious you're not leaving? So do I as I say, lad. It could still be dangerous" hook said to me, the sternness still present in his voice.
"Okay -" I didn't have time to say anything else before Hook used his shoulder to barge through the door. The hinges rattled and snapped before the splintering wooden door fell the ground making a loud crash, sure to wake the rest of the village.
Killian and Robin walked into the small cottage, both with their weapons in front of them. I did the same and pulled my sword from its holder on my hip.
"You should know mate, I'm not in the mood for games!" Hook shouted into the seemingly empty home.
Dust coated every surface and price of furniture that was crammed into the tiny place.
Suddenly, a man appeared from behind a wall. His sword was held up in defence, and from his stance it was clear he was no a mature.
"I worn you, neither am I" he swung his sword at Hook and they clashed. But when they met in the middle, neither made an effort to move.
"Buckholts?" Hook said slowly, as if he had just seen a ghost.
"Captain!" The stranger exclaimed. Both men dropped their swords and embraced each other.
"How do you guys know each other?" I asked.
"Buckholts was one of the best swordsman in my crew. We outran many a storm together. Until a disastrous evening, we had been ambushed by Blackbeard's men and I had believed he had killed one of my most trusted men. But, low and behold, here he is" Hook smiled.
"I was kidnapped by his crew in an attempt to learn your secrets. And when I didn't tell him anything I was banished to Neverland and lived for centuries as a slave to pan. When he died, everyone held captive was free" he explained. A small smile was on Hook's face, something nobody had seen in a while.
"Sorry to interrupt this reunion, but if you know anything about my mom, you really need to tell us" I said, my voice not quivering.
"You're mom? Oh! The princess. Right. The only information I have I heard through the grapevine, it could be weeks old by now" he replied, sadness laced in his voice.
"Any information is valuable at this point" Robin said to buckholts.
"She's been taken by a band of pirates. Not a well known ship like the Jolly Rodger, but the captain clearly had enough power to obtain the princess."
"Wait, Hook. You're a pirate. You must have some Intel about it!"
"It's not that simple, Henry. There are many pirate crews that sail the open seas. My crew followed a code, but since they're probably just establishing themselves, they'll not be prepared to hold back." Hook stated. His eyes fell to the floor and he took a deep breathe.
"But surely if they're not well known then nobody would be scarred enough to protect them. Anybody in this village could know something." My tone had picked up, I was hopeful that we could get some more information. Just as countless theories and ideas ran through my head, my thoughts were cut of by the cottage shaking.
The whole building trembled, the walls threatening to fall down on us. Dust fell from the thatched ceiling.
"What the bloody hell is going on?!" Hook shouted over the loud rumble.
"It's that damn witch! She's found me!" Buckholts shouted. Everyone made a run for the door, trying their best to get out of the collapsing building. All of the men tried to rush me out of the door first, trying to minimise the about of danger I was in.
Just before I could reach the door, the cottage collapsed around us. The walls fell and the ceiling caved in.
There was a sudden shooting pain that started between my shoulder blades. It travelled up my neck, almost paralysing me. It stung and burned as the pain moved up until it reached the back of my head.
Before I knew it, everything went black.
