3rd Persons POV
Snow covered her mouth instantly as her eyes widened. This wasn't how she wanted to tell her. In fact, she had a plan. She was going to take her daughters hand, hold her close and help her deal with the news.
She didn't want to just blurt it out!
She could feel her husband's stare and shock after what just happened. She couldn't bring herself to look at her husband.
"What are you talking about, mom?" Emma asked. In an instant, Killian grabbed Emma's hand and held it tightly, awaiting the confirmation of this shocking news.
"Is that the truth?" He asked nervously, his eyes flickering backwards and forwards between the royals in front of him.
"It is. We found out a few weeks ago, it was while you two were -you know - not you. We didn't know how to tell you and then decided not to until you guys were back." David nodded his head slowly, waiting for the reaction.
"Swan?" Killian turned to look at her but only saw a blank expression. She held no reaction, trying to digest the news.
"Excuse me." She mumbled before waving her hand and transporting herself as well as her boyfriend away. It took a moment for both of them to adjust to the new surroundings. "What just happened." She muttered to herself as she started pacing up and down the room.
She hadn't realised the irony. While being consumed by thoughts of a child, she had managed to take them to her old nursery. The one full of toys, cribs and clothes.
This broke her heart even further, not only did it bring back the haunting memories of never being able to raise her son - it just told her that once again she had managed to mess up her child's beginning of life.
She felt like a failure. As a daughter, as a future ruler, as a mother.
As the saviour.
For all she knew, this was going to mess her child up even further. She just imagined the baby's heart full of darkness - their conception wasn't exactly filled with light and love.
It was dark and lustful.
"Swan, please tell me what you're thinking." He stood in the same spot, unmoving. He wanted to know what Emma was thinking and how she was going to react before he himself reacted in an entirely inappropriate way.
Killian was ecstatic! This was amazing! As soon as he had a free moment he was going to take the ring from around his neck and propose to Emma. When she says yes, they'll be able to start their own family.
"I don't know!" She stopped pacing and turned to face him. "I knew I wanted to have children with you at some point but I never imagined it in this situation - you know, just coming back from being kidnapped-"
"Emma, stop. Give yourself a minute to breath. I know this isn't ideal, but we can make this work." He walked towards her and took her hand, looking into her eyes. "We love each other. And we have been through much worse than this."
Killian stepped closer to her, still staring into her eyes. He cupped her delicate face with his hand before pressing a soft kiss to her lips.
"I love you. We can raise this child, we might screw it up along the way. But it'll be our baby, and our little lad or lady will be the most loved baby in all of the realms." Killian told her after pulling away from the kiss.
"You're right. Maybe we can do this. We can have a baby." Emma nodded to herself, almost affirming it. "We're having a baby." She said, a grin breaking its way onto her lips. "Oh my gosh, Killian! We're having a baby!" Tears began flooding her eyes as happiness overwhelmed her.
"Aye love." He laughed back, watching the glee in his love's eyes.
Neither of them had been so content in a while. It was the first time in years where there wasn't a villain plotting to chip away at the couple's happiness or steal any private moments.
No threats to the family, complete and utter happiness.
Emma could picture this being the critical moment in her life, the moment that makes all the crap from the past year worth it. Because she'll have a baby. Her baby.
Killian too couldn't wait to start the preparations for the baby's arrival. It had been a secret fantasy for his entire three hundred years of life to become a father.
He wanted to teach his child how to sail the open waters, spend time watching his child grow. Of course he'd be happy with a son, he always prayed for a daughter.
The couple knew it. They knew that this baby would bring Emma back from her breaking point, after the devastation - committing murder, torturing a near innocent man.
"I always knew there was a little pirate in you, Swan." He chuckled as his eyes glassed over. Emma laughed, thinking about how ironic that phrase now was.
It felt like everything was finally coming together, the couple knew that this child would be the piece of the puzzle their family was missing.
They knew this was going to save the saviour.

Hey guys! How are you all doing?!
Happy new year! Hope all your respective holiday seasons have been absolutely amazing!
This is just a quick note to say that the next chapter is the epilogue and that there WONT be a sequel to the story. This is because as I have previously mentioned I have really lost interest in following along with OUAT now that the captain swan story has been wrapped up. I feel like I have also wrapped up my story nicely and ended in a really nice place for the characters and storyline.Lots of love x
