Epilogue
3rd Person's POV
Emma Swan stood in the gardens of the castle, watching her son practice sword fighting with her father. She could tell her boy was quickly gaining the ability to win against the king, it wouldn't be long until he'd be on the same level as Killian.
"He's such a strong boy, Emma."
Emma looked to her left to see her mom walking up to her, holding Neil's hand as he showed off his confidence at walking.
She couldn't wait for that moment, where she would teach her child to walk. Of course she was only four months pregnant but the time would soon come where her baby would be growing up too fast.
"We all helped chip in when it came to raising Henry, it was a group effort!" She chuckled, but instantly regretted it as the need to pee arose. "I'll be back, I'm going to the bathroom. If Killian comes back early let him know?" Snow White nodded with a knowing smile to her daughter before Emma walked into her home.
Emma couldn't help but notice the array of beautiful red roses that were lining the halls of the castle - her favourite flower with the sweetest of scents.
It brought back the memories of her first date with Killian, how they went to the lovely restaurant in Storybrooke and how he walked her home. The moment where she kissed him and had never felt more at ease.
Above the flowers, candles were lit and illuminated the halls. It all looked so beautiful, like something she would see in a fairy tale book.
"Emma?"
She looked up and saw her loving pirate staring at her.
"Killian, what's happening?" She walked closer to him and watched as his smile grew bigger.
"This is very overdue. I won't bother with the cliche speech about how much you mean to me, because after everything we've been through you already know. But I will say this, Emma Swan, you are the most beautiful woman in all of the realms. You are the strongest, bravest woman there has ever been.
"Whenever we have a crisis, you are the one to push everyone through. You are the one that everyone leans on because you know that we can all get through anything. But, I'd like to share that - I want you to be able to lean on me. Emma, you push me to be the better man that I never knew possible. And I will forever be in debt to you for giving me the chance to have a family with you.
"I know that after our literal journey to hell and back, there isn't any other woman I'd wish to raise a child together as a family." He smiled and cupped his hand around Emma's baby bump, a huge smile reaching from ear to ear.
"And I would love to call you my wife. Will you marry me?" Killian got down on one knee before pulling out the ring from his pocket.
The one with the red stone that he always wore, the ring that was Killian's second most prized possession - soon to be third.
Emma was welling up, and since she didn't like to be vulnerable she would later blame the tears on her pregnancy hormones.
"Do you even need to ask?" She smiled as she let her tears fall. "Of course I'll marry you!" Killian's grin grew again as he slid the resized ring onto her finger before standing up and bringing Emma into one of their most passionate moments they've ever shared.
Killian held her tightly, savouring the moment but soon released and once again held Emma's bump.
"I can't wait to meet our little one."
