Killian's POV

My head throbbed as I woke up. My eyes burned with the sight of the burning candles. As I sat up I realised I wasn't aboard my home but instead in a cell.

I don't know what I've done this time but I won't be here for long. I could easily pick this lock.

I looked down and my Hook was gone. Bloody hell, have these royals captured me before?

"Hook." It was a blunt voice, cutting through the darkness.

"At your service." I replied groggily, still quite overcome with sleep. I looked up at the cell door to see the evil queen. "Ah, your majesty. How lovely to see you again." I chuckled, remembering our time in the carriage together.

"Cut the crap, Hook." She flicked her hair over her shoulder, exposing her cleavage poking out the top of her corseted dress. "Tell me, how's your love life?"

I couldn't help but erupt in fits of laughter.

"Your majesty, that's just laughable. Love life? You think the fearsome Captain Hook would ever be tied down to a single woman? My life is how it always will be, now, if you're done interrogating me over something that will never be, am I free to go?"

"Seriously? So there's not a blonde you're pining after with those stupid puppy dog eyes?" She rolled her eyes and brought her hands to her hips, clearly frustrated.

"Who the hell is this blonde that everyone keeps saying I've gone soft for?!" I yelled, quickly standing on my feet in the centre of the cell. "Captain Hook does not - nor will he ever - use 'puppy dog eyes' what ever the hell that means." I scoffed.

"Oh really? You don't know a single blonde person you really want to spend time with?" She hinted, leaning closer and raising and eyebrow.

Emma came to mind. But not for her reasons.

Captain Swan has been the only woman I am unable to figure out. I can't put my finger on it but she's different, something about her is familiar. I feel like I can predict her moves before she makes them, like I know all of her habits before I've seen them.

And I want to know why I can't get her or her gorgeous blonde locks out my head.

"Nope, not a single one." I rolled my eyes and leaned against the cell door, resting my elbows.

"Damnit Hook." She grumbled, spinning on her heel and storming away from me.

"You're not going to let me out?" I called after her.

"Nope!" She popped the 'p' and continued to walk away. It was silent for a minute after, I could hear the rats around me. I was left to my thoughts and to wonder what it is about this woman that forever haunts me.

"They interrogated you too, huh?" I heard. Her voice cut through the darkness. "You got better treatment then me, they've cuffed me." I heard the sarcasm in her voice as well as the rattle of chains. "I don't know what it is about these chains, but my veins are aching. Like I can feel them drying up and my pulse slowing down. It's what I imagine it feels like to have magical powers drained from you."

"Well that's dramatic, even for you swan." I chuckled.

"Shut up." Her voice was blunt again, back to showing no emotion with me. "Did you mean what you said? That you can't think of a single blonde you want to spend time with?" Her tone was suggestive and clearly hinting at something.

"Of course I did." I lied. I was good at that. "Wait, did you think i cared for you? And I thought the queen's ideas were laughable. So, no. I don't care for you. And if that's all we're going to be talking about then I'd like to go back to silence." And that was that. We were back to silence baring the scratching of the rats against the concrete ground.

Well for five minutes that was.

"I hope you two have made yourselves comfortable and gotten friendly. This will be your home for the foreseeable future." A gruff voice spoke.

"You can't be serious! I haven't done anything yet!" She yelled amidst the silence.

"If you insist on keeping us here, can we at least get some light? The darkness is terrible for the eyes." I groaned. I heard his sigh before a torch was lit and I could see the faces of Swan and the King.

His eyes were sunken in and surrounded by dark circles. They were blood shot and swollen, giving the idea his soul had been tortured for a while.

"Happy, pirate?" He paused and took a breath. He turned to look at Captain Swan before turning to me. He opened and closed his mouth like a damn codfish before shaking his head in defeat and leaving.

"Peculiar" swan sighed with a shake of her head. My eyebrows furrowed, intrigued.

"Huh. You know, your mannerisms are rather similar to the kings, no?" I pointed out and leaned into the bars in an attempt to get any closer to Swan.

"What are you suggesting, Hook? That I'm the daughter of a king? Ha! And you thought I was laughable!" She broke out into laughter which was almost covered by the rattle of her chains but I couldn't tune out from her enticing laugh. It drew me in.

"I'm merely suggesting a relation. An uncle, perhaps?" I chuckled at her reaction as I watched her squirm in the awkwardness of the situation.

"Shut your mouth, or you won't like what happens when we get out of here." She snarled, instantly bringing her protective walls back up.

"Sure, love. Whatever you say." I laughed lightly and watched as it angered her. She looked amazing when she was angry, of course she looked even better when she wasn't.

Truth is, I fancy her from time to time when she's not yelling at me.

"Why do you always have to undermine everything I say!" She yelled, gripping at the bars and rattling her chains. "You think you can do whatever you please because I'm a woman? News flash, asshole, the entire universe doesn't revolve around you either." The anger on her face never disappears as she continues to glare at me.

"Can't bare to tear your eyes away from me?" I chuckled, leaning against the cell doors, doing my best to cover up just how turned on I was by her anger.

"I can't deal with you!" She yelled, letting go of the bars and falling against the wall. "Seriously, don't even talk to me."

A few minutes went by and we could only hear the rats scuttling about.

"Look," she sighed before looking up to me. "I don't know about you but I've got a ship to run and a crew to captain. We need to jail break." Her voice was blunt again, showing me no emotion or feeling.

"How the devil do you expect me to get out of this royal cell?" I scoffed.

"You've done it before." She said with a roll of her eyes and sarcasm in her tone.

"Yeah, and I had my Hook. Since these royals decided to take it, I guess we're a bit stuck, Swan." I rolled my eyes in response and leant against the wall. "It's me and you now."

"And the rats."

"Yeah, swan. And the rats."
