I guess there is a deeper purpose of their POVs which is to know how their relationship progresses, esp on "how" they think of each other as time goes. :) let me know what you noticed!

I hurried towards the hall, carrying my feet as fast as I could after hearing the bell. Honestly, if it wasn't for Stephen, I would have come to class earlier, but his lazy ass just had to get up late. Of course, Sonya had to lecture him about it.
"Chill, baby girl. The classrooms ain't going anywhere, you know?" I heard him mumble beside me. I could see him fixing his snapback on the corner of my eye.
"Shut up," I retorted. "This is your fault."
"My fault? Get yourself ya own car and maybe you can go here as early as 4am," he said, rolling his eyes.
I stopped in my tracks and faced him dead in the eye. All grim, all serious. "I'll remember you said that when I take the bus tomorrow."
I stomped away from him and he chuckled, grabbing my forearm. "I'm just kidding."
By the time I reached my classroom, I looked at Steph and motioned for him to let me go, but he likes to make me mad for some reason. He always likes to annoy the hell out of me because apparently, me being mad was entertaining.
Then there was his troublemaker smirk that I've grown to love since we were together. You just can't resist it.
"See you later?" he said with a wink.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Get your ass to class."
I was all smiles as I entered the classroom until I felt all eyes on me.
This was exactly what I hate about being late—you always get all the attention when you come to class.
"Ms. Austin? You're late," my teacher told me, stating the obvious.
I gave him an apologetic smile. "Sorry. I got held up and—"
"Class, what did we talk about being late to my class?" he announced before facing me again. "This is the last time I'll consider anyone coming in at least five minutes late."
Yeah, he hates late-comers too much. He was strict about tardiness that it was frustrating.
I sighed in relief and rushed towards my usual seat next to Klay. Trig class was just so different and my teacher was so strict. It wasn't anything like Lit class with Sir Corey.
"By held up, did you mean 'make out'?" Klay whispered as I settled on my seat.
"We didn't!" I immediately replied in a hushed voice. "Stephen forgot to set his alarm so..."
Klay chuckled silently and shook his head. "You wanna know why he stayed up late? The boys were so lit on the gc last night and your mans Stephen was talking about—"
I waited as he came to an abrupt stop.
"Never mind."
