nope this isn't actually the last chapter. the title is just a foreshadow 🙃

Stephen"Big day," I told Arzaya as I placed a hand on her back. We walked towards the hallways and immediately, the people made way for us to walk in the middle like the king and queen we are.
Zay was looking extra fine today. She got nice ripped jeans on—they were actually my favorite because her ass looks good on it. Her legs were a killer too.
And just like her, everyone wore nothing but yellow to show school pride.
"Hey, Steph," a junior girl called. "Good luck on the game!"
I sent her a smile and did the same to her friends. Zay grabbed my hand and intertwined it with hers as we walked.
"Aye, man. Hope you guys get us the win," said another dude from my shop class.
"Thanks," I replied. Soon enough, everyone that we passed, even the teachers, would wish me luck.
Like I said, it was a big day. This very last game will cost us the championship trophy. It's also a game where I have to show my best because all college scouts will be there and then I'd get offered a scholarship.
When we reached Zay's locker, she immediately put her things inside while I waited. And just at the right time, Ayesha came to her locker which was just close to Arzaya's.
"I sent a copy of our business plan in your email, did you see?" Ayesha spoke to me.
I nodded. "Yeah, I did. I can't make it to Econ today, though."
"Why not?" she asked—disappointment almost evident in her tone.
Zay slammed her locker door shut and clung to my arm with a stern face.
"I, uh, we get pulled out from class to prep up." I looked at Ayesha and then she uneasily glanced at Arzaya.
"Oh! Yeah, the game!" she exclaimed in realization. "Well, good luck!"
"Thanks." I gave a small smile.
"You're watching, right?" Zay suddenly asked her. "I mean, I'm sure Stephen invited you before."
Ayesha and I exchanged a look.
She smiled in unease. "I'm not exactly sure if I can watch today. I have to be somewhere after class."
"Oh, that's too bad!" Zay replied in fake dismay. Or at least I knew she was faking it. "You're gonna miss out the fun. It's gonna be an exciting game, especially with this guy right here." She turned my face on her direction. "Right, baby?"
Before I knew it, she leaned in to kiss me softly. Then she looked back at a stunned Ayesha.
Ayesha cleared her throat and laughed awkwardly. "Well, I'm sure you are."
"Yep," Zay answered, leaning her head on my shoulder as she linked our hands.
There was just that look in Ayesha that hinted humor. She closed her locker and clutched her books to her chest. "Anyway, gotta get to class. You guys enjoy, though."
