"Screen!" I yelled, pointing towards the area I needed a screen on. The sun was shining down on us on a lazy Saturday afternoon as we played half-court basketball at my backyard.

Draymond quickly approached D'Angelo who was guarding me as he set a screen.

"Oh nah, Dray out here doing moving screens," D'Angelo claimed, drifting his eyes between Dray and I.

"This is street ball, you soft punk," Draymond told him. "No rules."

While the two fools were distracted, I did my double-hesitation move and D'Angelo fell for it so I had a space to shoot a three.

It fúcking airballed.

Jesus! I've been bricking shots all day.

I was feeling pretty useless whenever I don't make them. It was like my power to shoot threes was suddenly taken away.

"Damn," D'Angelo teased, switching to pass an inbound. "You playing shít, boss."

I huffed under my breath. If only my mind wouldn't have to drift to Arzaya every now and then, maybe I could actually focus.

As I shook my thoughts away, I focused back on the game and locked down my defense on D'Angelo. He passed the ball to Devin who pulled up for a mid-range jumper but couldn't make it. Ben got the rebound over Draymond and tipped it in.

Score was 14-17 in favor of the young guns. It was about time we play with them this whole off season since we needed to practice in preparation for college and at the same time, these guys would learn from us as they lead the team next year.

I was working on my signature shot and I made sure to practice my layups high off the backboard so it would be harder to get blocked.

"Yo," D'Angelo said, dribbling the ball and signaling his two teammates to move. "Iso!"

"Come on, don't be predictable," I taunted.

D'Angelo attempted a crossover but I had it coming. I almost snatched the ball from his hands but then I tripped on Ben's foot as he set a screen, then fúcking Dlo pushed me over causing me to tumble on the ground like a wimp.

"OHHH!" The guys hooted jokingly.

"Bruh." D'Angelo smiled in triumph. "I broke Curry's ankles, man!"
