I woke up, groaning to the loud noises of D'Angelo and Draymond arguing from outside. I took time letting my eyes adjust to the light, then I stretched out. When I looked over to my side, Stephen's space was nothing but empty.
Memories of last night came flashing through my mind and I grimaced in embarrassment. What was I thinking? I was so driven last night and couldn't stop my hormones.
My mouth was officially devirginized. I could still feel Stephen's taste on my tongue and I didn't know what to feel.
I grabbed my green bomber jacket and wore it before I stepped outside the foggy forest.
I found Ben and Devin kicking a soccer ball at a space. The rest of the guys and Shay were at the picnic table eating breakfast.
They all turned to me while I made my way to them.
"Morning," my boyfriend greeted, getting up to kiss my lips which I quickly dodged.
"No kissing till I brush my teeth," I informed, causing Steph to just laugh.
"Niki doesn't mind it with me," D'Angelo spoke while eating a mouthful of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Dray laughed inwardly as he sipped from his coffee. "Your hygiene nonexistent."
"Yeah, just like all the fúcks I give."
"Really, nigga?"
"Why you sound like you swallowed a microphone when you talk?" D'Angelo retorted.
"Okay," I huffed. These boys just never stop arguing.
I excused myself and grabbed my essentials as I went to the communal bathroom. There was a line; other families going in. I waited for my turn and once I did, I brushed my teeth, rinsed my face, and changed my tampons.
After I was done with my morning shenanigans, I scurried back to my friends who were still sitting at the picnic table talking.
"What do you wanna eat?" Stephen asked me as I reached them again. I sat on his lap since the table could only fit six people.
I eyed the cereal and I thought, nah. Shay offered me a ham sandwich and I declined. On the other hand, David and Klay were eating boiled eggs.
"Why girls so picky when y'all on your period? D'Angelo asked. "And then y'all give us boys a hard time figuring your emotions."
Shay gave him a look of disbelief. Maybe she finally realized that D'lo was actually unhinged. "I wish you experience it so you'd shut up."
Stephen pressed his lips on my shoulder. "B, you need to eat something. We got a long day ahead."
"Why? Where we heading?" I asked.
"We're gonna swim," Shay told me excitedly. "There's a lake not far from here and it's really clean."
I decided to just help myself with some fruit—a banana, in particular. I slowly took the peel off and took a bite from the tip when I suddenly felt Stephen trying to contain his giggle.
