"Shay," I complained, sitting back at the couch. "I don't wanna wear that."
"Well, you have to! It's the only way we can get you to look like you're old enough."
I contemplated. "Why do you guys don't want to just stay back and get turnt in this hotel room?"
She walked towards the mirror and retouched her makeup making them darker. "That's no fun. It's our last year, come on! Live it to the fullest."
"Whatever you say, prom queen."
She looked back at me to smile teasingly before facing the mirror again. "What's up with you and Stephen? Are you guys back together?"
"No." I propped my elbows on the armrest. What am I and Stephen? I honestly don't know. We didn't talk about it after we danced and I wasn't sure if I could actually talk to him about it.
We both heard the door of the hotel room open and the boys' loud voices started to fill the room.
"Aye, we just gon' do it here," I heard Draymond say and then the door of the bathroom slammed shut. Then I heard bottles being put on the table.
Klay and Stephen appeared in our sight looking fresh as they changed into their less formal getups and I laughed seeing Klay still wearing his crown on.
"Babe!" Shay giggled. "We know you're king. You can take it off now."
Klay pouted, but he did take off the crown and put it down the table. "Aww, man."
"What took you guys so long?" she asked.
Stephen leaned in at the side with his hands on his pockets. Then he took out his hand and showed a pass for another hotel room.
Shay's eyes widened in delight. "Which one?"
"Across," he answered, before placing his hand back in his pocket and looking at me.
I must say, that brown bomber jacket looked damn good on him.
"Zay, you're not coming?" Stephen asked softly.
I shrugged. "I'm not sure what I'll do there."
"If you're not going, I'm not going," he bargained.
I could see Shay and Klay glancing at each other playfully.
"Don't be a baby!" Shay told me. "It's going to be fun. We got you."
Clubs really scare me, though. I've heard stories and I knew that place just wasn't for me.
"I don't even have an ID. I'm not legal enough," I reasoned.
Shay looked at me questioningly. "Duh, so am I?"
"That's why we got Steph in the first place," Klay reassured. "He'll get us in."
Stephen nodded at me convincingly. I mean, would I really stay back while they're all having fun without me?
"Fine," I said to which they all celebrated. "I'll just change in the bathroom."
