Pulled from one end to the other
Laughing lines caress her skin
Gleaming eyes, eyes filled with love,
Passionate touch
And a touch that didn't just happen physically.
wind blew strong,
her eyes stay mild, like a breeze had she been
gentle yet warm.
Not a façade she wears,
But just a light heart,
Because what does her burden help another one for?
Not was her skin spotless,
Not creamy smooth was the texture,
Her eyes were just like others,
Perhaps passion danced
Or maybe they were tears,
But who knew? After all, she was a unicorn
Unicorns never cry, do they?
The sparkles she dragged with her all along,
Scattering the glitter in the air,
Men and women showered in the glimmer of it
Looked where it was coming from,
Nodded and smiled towards her, or maybe not,
And they embraced each other in the circle,
While, she...just walked away. An abandoned soul.
Glitter in her eyes too!
Look! See! They said! oh how colorful is the swishing tail
of the unicorn! Look SEE!
After all , why wouldn't the eyes glisten if tears flooded there?
Why wouldn't the tail spray colors when it was all drained out from within?
But remember hey,
Unicorns never cry, do they?
Darkened clouds loomed over her heart,
Crimson thing turning a darker shade of maroon,
Almost blackening it all.
She pumped and drained
And slumped one day,
Oh look! See!
She is out of colors and sparkles,
Now, what for does she exist?
Unicorn she is, and now out of her norms!
Unicorns never cry, do they?
And if they do, they aren't needed,
Are they?
Pain is what we all feel,
Humans are what we all are,
Tears are something that has to be shed,
Floodgates are always open,
When the sky darkens and the rainbows disappear,
The eyelids close,
And tears roll down!
But how will they know?
Just how will they know?!
BECAUSE AFTER ALL UNICORNS NEVER CRY!
Do they?!
Nobody will know
She will stay on the prayer mat
Drench her skin, the plush cloth,
She will cry until her heart aches,
And just why does she never learn her lesson?
Next morning, placing heart on her sleeves,
Love sparkling and spraying as she walks
Sacks of love thrown onto the heads of others,
And she blinked back her tears.
Because the dark horse who promised to be with her,
Was now drenched in her sparkles too,
And he laughed and smiled away
With another unicorn who maybe...
cried and tried.
But she was a unicorn
who just wasn't supposed to cry, wasn't she?
Shrieked the heart, bled the heart, cried the heart,
But yet she smiled at them,
At the dark horse and the other,
And said I'll never stop spraying sparkles,
If it could bring that gleam in your eyes,
And she walked away
Into the darkness,
To close her eyelids.
And let pain rain down...
Only here, rainbows weren't created. But a whole new colorful world for others.
And for her, pain just became a pleasure.
Wondrous unicorn, who just never cries.
Never did she stop showering others with glitter,
And on the pathway she met several pairs of eyes that gleamed,
And shed tears thanking her.
Thanking her for the silver she put on the black,
For the gold put on the silver
For the green put on the red,
And she smiled saying , not her effort it was.
Some showered her back with love and laughter,
But she had pieces missing
That were forever gone.
But there too was another
Who had been holding onto every piece that she had misplaced
Tightly in his hands,
He unclenched his fists,
And said,
Unicorn, close your eyelids and let it pour
until these pieces get back together.
And we shall color this life together forever.
