Chapter 19: is tonight the night?

When we finally got back to the house the boys had been talking about plans for later. "Want to go to that place in the city... It's like an hour drive but the place is super nice." Jerome suggests. I they all continue discussing and I see Mitch look down at his phone. "It's not too far I'm up for it!" Mitch smiles looking up.

There was a slight cheer. "Yes." As everyone agreed. I didn't reply, to caught with in thoughts. Worrying about the car ride. I hate cars now. I need some time to adjust. Who wouldn't be terrified of cars after being in an accident... I keep seeing it happen over in my head. Dan's face is probably what scares me most. I've never seen him that afraid, and I could tell he was really trying to stop the car and he just couldn't. And now he can't even remember it, but I do.

"Alice?" Baylee says waking he hands in front of my face. I finally snap out of it. "Yea?" I ask naturally. "Are you ok?" She asks concerned. Her face right in front of mine. I just stare back at her. "Yea I'm fine" I reply simply. "I don't think I want to go" I add, accidentally saying my thoughts out loud. "Why not?" Baylee said confused. "Why won't you come?" Jerome says. "The car ride... I'm not ready for it yet" i reply looking down.

There is a moment of silence. "I'll just stay here." I speak to end the silence. "You can't be here alone..." Mitch said concerned. "I'll stay..." Dan volunteers. "No, I'll stay... You haven't had any fun get Dan." Adam pitched in. "It's fine. I have the whole summer for fun. I have some editing to do anyway" Dan replied, trying to convince them.

"Ok, that settles it. Dan and Alice are stating and everyone else going right?" Jerome asked trying to verify the plan. Everyone nodded or replied with a yes. "You sure you don't wanna go?" Baylee asks. She makes a pouty face. I just smirk trying not to laugh. "The car ride is too long" I tell her. She smiles unable to keep a strait face. "Ok..." Baylee replies.

Baylee walked past me and I thought I was in the clear till she grabbed my arm and yelled "come on!". I just followed her back upstairs. We went into her room and she sat me down on the bed, then walking to her closet. "What do you think I should wear?" She asked.

I shrugged, not to sure how fancy the place was. "Come on! You have to have some kind of opinion!" She wales. "Well I'm not going so..." I smirk. "You and Dan..." She raises and eyebrow smirking. The realization hit me. Me and Dan would be alone. I could actually talk with him about everything without being bothered. When I looked at Baylee she continued smirking.

She did a small wink at me before turning back around to her closet.

I let out a small giggle because of her wink. "Seriously Alice! What should I wear?" Baylee asks again running her hands through her closet. I just shrug again. "Fine! Your no help..." Baylee jokes. She continues studying the clothes in her closet, debating what to wear.

"What about this?" She asks, taking out a tee-shirt that has a pokey-ball on it. "Nah... Too girly for you." I smirk joking. She lets out a small giggle before putting the shirt back into the closet. Baylee continued looking through the closet before gasping. I knew she had found something. "What about this!" She wales pulling out a black dress.

Baylee shook the dress in my face. I smirked studying it. It was a fully black dress with sparkles all around the top of the dress. A black ribbon tied in a bow at the waist divided the dress into two parts. The bottom of the dress was puffy and short. It was a cute little dress.

"I like it!" I say with a huge smile on my face. "But you know... You need to wear heals with that dress!" I smirk raising an eyebrow. Her eyes widen. I continue to smirk. "But it's just a night out! I don't need high heals!" Baylee wales. I laugh. "I was joking..." I smirk. "Oh..." She says blushing a bit. "I'll just wear these!" Baylee says.

She runs back to the closet and takes out black cowgirl boots. They had an elegant design sown into the leather. I didn't usually like cowgirl boots but those ones were gorgeous. "Wow..." Were the only words that escaped my mouth. "You like them? I got them a few days ago." Baylee smiled confidently.

I nod smirking. "Makeup and hair time!" I yell dragging her into the bathroom. "No!" She yells. But yelling won't stop me. I already had the makeup, and hair straitened out and ready for her. "Not my hair! Ugh!" Baylee moans. "Please... It will look good!" I beg her. "But... Fine..." Baylee speaks unhappily.

After I finished her makeup and her hair it was the moment of truth. "Are you ready?" I asked her. "No..." She jokes. "Ok you can look" I replied with a small laugh. Baylee opened her eyes and looked in the mirror. I had made her lips bright red because I knew she wouldn't like the pink lipstick I had. Just a little bit of mascara because she was already beautiful as is. Baylee had put her contacts in instead of wearing glasses.

Baylee just looked in the mirror with an unsure look. "do you like it?" I asked, a bit disappointed. "Um... Yea?" She questioned. I looked down a bit disappointed with myself. "Sorry... I thought you would like it..." I replied. "I'm just kidding! I would never say that!" She replies feeling a bit bad for tricking me. I made a small smile to let her know it was ok.

"I actually love it! It makes me look sexy!" Baylee jokes with a small giggle. "I love your hair strait or curly!" I reply smirking. "I think your ready!" I add turning the smirk into a smile.

Baylee opens the bathroom door stepping back into the room. She slides on the cowgirl boots. Looking into the mirror one last time she smiles. "You look amazing" I tell her with a big smile. "Thanks" she smirks back. There is a knock on the door that I hear move down the hall way on all the doors. "Lets go!" Someone yells.

Baylee went to the door and I walked behind her. We approached the stairs and Lena walked next to me, all the other girls behind. I studded Lena's dress for a moment and it was skin tight, very flattering on her. I felt a bit left out considering I was wearing sweet pants and a Muse teeshirt. The boys were all waiting at the bottom of the stairs talking. They were wearing tuxes.

Baylee reached the bottom of the stairs and finally the boys turned around. Adams eyes widened at the sight of Baylee. He was speechless. "Wow..." Were the only words that escaped his mouth. Baylee blushes looking down with a big smile. "You look stunning!" Adam finally speaks. "Thank you!" Baylee smiles. "You look handsome as always" Baylee smiled wrapping her arms around his neck.

He grinned. "I love you Baylee..." Adam smiled, kissing her on the cheek. My attention was then redirected to Mitch and Lena. Mitch slid his hands down her waist and leaned into her. They started to make out right in front of everyone. I couldn't help but to look away feeling awkward, when I saw dan. He was just looking at everyone and smiling.

Smiling at how they were all so in love. Then he glanced over at me. I turned away, getting butterflies that pierced my stomach. I've always got that feeling ever since we met. Just the slightest glance causes this explosion of emotions to overwhelm my body. Even after all this time, I'm still in love with him more than ever.

Everyone almost formed a line and they were staring at me and Dan. I glances over at Mitch catching his wink at Dan. When I looked at Dan's reaction he grinned, holding back laughter. "Have fun guys!" Jerome joked with a small wink. He griped scar's waist tighter.

They all one by one exited the house in couples, or pairs. Me and Dan stood silent in the room till they drove away and we could no longer see them. Even when they were gone I feel that me and Dan both had no idea what to do. "So..." Dan said awkwardly. "Yea... So..." I say giggling back.
