Chapter 22

Chapter 22: plans

Alice's POV

Me and Dan went back into the living room to continue the movie. Of course I had fallen asleep again. I feel asleep on Dan. I finally felt whole again. He remembers and now I don't need to worry anymore. I felt myself drifting in and out of sleep. I could feel Dan's arm around me and his soft skin against my arm. I woke up slightly and opened my eyes. I glanced up slightly and realized Dan was asleep.

He was so cute when he was asleep. Just and adorable little angel. I could help but to smile. His pale skin was brightened by the light coming from the TV. I snuggled into him more and closed my eyes again. Dan's grip on my arm got tighter, I just smiled. Slowly drifting back into sleep.

I can hear a small noise followed by cheerful voices and laughing. I open my eyes slowly and hear Dan take a deep breath as my head moves up and down with his chest. I looked up at him and he had also woken up. I was greeted by his big smile. I continues to smirk at me while I lean on his chest and I can't tell but to smile back.

The voices begin to get louder, closer, and I glance over to the direction of the noise. Baylee enters with Adam but there attention is diverted to each other. Baylee giggled before the both looked at me and Dan. "What happen here?" Adam joked steping further into the room.

Dan squeezed me tighter and I just smiled and looked up into his eyes. We both gazed into each others eyes basically ignoring the question. "Do you remember Dan?" Baylee said with her eyes widened. Dan looked up from my eyes and just grinned at Baylee. "Is that a yes?" She asked frantically. Me and Dan glances back at each other before both nodding. "That's great!" Adam exclaimed grabbing onto Baylee.

I snuggles back into Dan's chest and he kept his arm tightly around me. I felt myself drifting into sleep again, I struggled to keep my eyes open. I looked back over at Baylee and Adam just to realize they were soaking wet. "Now that you know what happen here I want to know what happen to you guys!" I laughed slightly. They all just started to chuckle and behind Baylee and Adam appeared the others.

"We got caught in the rain" Lena said smirking. Mitch had his hand around her waist. Baylee say next to me followed by Adam, then Lena, Mitch and the others. Baylee gave me a look. Just this kind of smirk that made me giggle.

"what do you guys say about going to an amusement park tommorow!?!" Jerome exclaimed with Scarlette in his arms. "Yea buddy!" Mitch replied. "Totally!" Perston added. Everyone was smiling all excited now. I looked up at Dan going into a panicked state. "I can't go..." I whispered to him. He looked at me confused for a moment before realizing what I meant. "Um... Maybe we shouldn't..." Dan said trying to cover for me. "Why not?" Jerome said puzzled.

"Well if it rains all night it won't be worth it..." Dan tried to come up with an excuse. "The weather said sun all day, I'm sure it won't be a problem" Jerome smiled. "But..." Dan didn't know what else to say. "But what?" Mitch asked. "I'm afraid of heights" I blurted out, ending Dan's stress. "Aw we shouldn't go then..." Baylee said. "No you guys go I'm fine here, trust me" I told them. "You sure?" Jerome asked. I nodded.

Baylee turned to Adam as they whispered amongst themselves for a moment. Baylee looked at me. "I'm not leaving you alone for the second time in a row" she said to me as everyone else talked about how excited they were. I smiled. "Thanks"

I whispered back to Baylee. Adam then turned around and looked at me as well. "Of course in staying too" Adam exclaimed. "Same here" Dan said squeezing me. I giggled a bit.

"We should go out for lunch instead!" Baylee said. "The town is like a ten minute walk away" she added. "I think there's like a Panera that you can eat outside in town. Want to do that?" Adam said happily. "Sounds great!" I replied with a smile. "I agree, good idea" Dan added to the conversation.

Adam turned back around to face the rest of the group. "Me, Baylee, Alice, and Dan are going to lunch tommorow. You guys have fun at the amusement park." Adam told them. The rest of the group nodded. I looked up a Dan still snuggled into his chest.

"I'm tired..." I whispered. Dan still had a smile on his face. He kissed my forehead holding me tightly. "Let's go to bed then" Dan replied, releasing me from his grasp. I smiled and stood up. Dan moved his had to mine intertwining out fingers. "Goodnight everyone." Dan said as he led be towards the exit, my hand in his. "Goodnight!" Everyone replied.

Baylee and Adam of course were almost right behind us. They must have been tired too, I guess. Me and Dan ran up the stairs and into our room. I let out a small giggle. Dan picked me up bridal style. "Ready?" Dan said. He stood at the edge of the bed and started rocking me. "One... Two... Three!" Dan exclaimed.

Right as he said three he made me think he was going to throw me then instead held onto me and spun around and fell backward so he was under me. I just laughed and and struggled to get off of him. Dan started laughing as well. When I got off him he sat up and there was a small silence. We both just stared at each other's smiling.

Dan laid down and started staring at the ceiling, ending the silent moment. I laid beside him and put my head on his chest, snuggling into him. He put his arm around my shoulder. There was silence as I closed my eyes. Just silence. "I know I remeber you and stuff, but I feel like there's still something missing..." Dan whispered. I looked up and he was still staring at the ceiling. "What?" I said puzzled.

Dan looked over at me still laying down. "Like I feel like there is a gap in my memory... Something that hasn't come back yet... Maybe it's just a hunch but I have a weird feeling." Dan explained. "Maybe your just tired... We can talk about it in the morning." I told him. "Ok" Dan replied looking back up at the ceiling. I could tell he was lost in a train of thought. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
