Chapter 21: With Adam

Baylee's POV

-at the restaurant-

"What are you getting?" Adam whispers glancing over at me from the corner of his eye. I smirk. "I don't even know what half of these words mean..." I giggle. Adam lets out a small chuckle. I look back up at the table and study the 3 spoons and forks on both sides of my plate. "What are these even for?" I joke. Adam chuckles again.

Me and Adam were being pretty quiet studying the menu while everyone else was talking obnoxiously loud. "We would have been better off going to the clubs..." Adam spoke quietly. He placed the menu on top of his plate and closed it. "Yea, we are making this place sound alike a club." I joked again. "Your just on a roll today!" Adam joked back with a laugh.

I smiled looking into his hazel eyes. His laughter just turned into a smile as we gazed into each others eyes. Adam grabbed onto my hand and I griped his back gently. I wanted to kiss him so bad, but I knew it would be inappropriate at the time. Later, I mouthed with a smirked. Adam grinned back. I moved my chair closer to Adam and leaned my head on his shoulder, as we held hands.

Adam put his arm around me. Everyone at the table started hysterically laughing, and wondered why. I looked around hoping to find what they were laughing at before realizing that Perston was on the floor. He had fallen off his chair. Adam began to laugh as well. "You guys are such children" I said directing it at Adam. I was holding in the laugher to keep my joke going but I couldn't.

I burst into laugher along with everyone else. "Your such a child!" Adam joked mimicking me. It made me laugh harder. My laughs were almost silent I was laughing so hard. "Aw... Baby are you ok?" Paige asked Perston concerned. She helped him back into his chair. "Yea... I'm fine" Perston smirked blushing up a storm. Paige gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Ok baby." She smiled.

"If I fall off my chair will you give me a kiss on the cheek too?" Adam asked, as seriously as he could bare. "Yes... Yes I will!" I replied with a smirk, holding back laughter. "Hell nah!" Adam replied. We both burst into laughter. Everyone was staring at us smirking. It made me feel a bit weird. I stopped laughing feeling a bit awkward and Adam did as well.

Finally the waitress came over to w our order. As she went around the table I kind of zoned out. Then I realized I hadn't picked something to eat. She was getting closer to asking me for my order. "Shit..." I whisper to myself scrambling the menu into my hands in a panic. It becomes Adams turn to order. "I'll just have a cheese burger... Medium rare please" Adam said politely. It was now my turn. I looked up at the woman with a blank stare.

"Um... I'll have what he's having..." I panicked. She then moved along continuing around the table. Really Baylee! Your that awkward you couldn't have just said I need a minute. Jeez! I though to myself. "Everything ok?" Adam asked in a concerned tone. I realized my facial expression probably gave him the impression I was mad. "Yea everything is fine" I told him with a reassuring smile.

Adam had ordered a beer and just to fit in a bit more I ordered some wine. I didn't like it that much. I got some fancy red wine along with Lena and a few of the other girls. I took a small sip of it every once and a while till the glass was half full. All the guys were hanging out on one side of the table drinking and stuff. I was staring at Adam as he talked with the guys. I could here slight gossip from behind me.

"It must be so hard for Alice..." I heard Megan say as I turned around. "I know... Like how Dan doesn't even know what they had..." Scarlette added. "I hope he remembers everything. That's so sad." Paige said looking down. I glanced over at Lena and she was just staring into space I could tell she was bothered by the conversation. I nudged Lena's shoulder.

"You ok?" I whispered as the other girls continued there conversation. Lena looked up. There was silence for a moment. "Oh yea... I'm fine" Lena said looking back at the table. "It's just the memories are coming back." She whispered under her breath. "It must be hard." I said unsure how to reply. I wished I could relate to her but at the same time I don't think I would be able to handle it.

"You know..." I said swinging my hand slightly to use it for hand gestures. I was stooped by the sound of my wine glass falling. The red wine flew all over the table and of course, right onto Scar. She kind of just stood up and froze. "I'm so sorry..." I said nervously. Look what you have done now Baylee... Nice job.

I started blushing embarrassed for my mistake. Scar stayed quiet still frozen. Everyone began yelling at me and taunting me in a joking matter. It wasn't funny. It was hurtful, I knew I made a mistake and the boys started getting really loud. I looked down putting my head to the table. I felt someone's hand on my back. "Baby? You know there just kidding right?" Adam said softly. "That doesn't mean it's not hurtful" I replied quietly.

I heard footsteps as I kept my head on the table. "Excuse me... I'm going to have to ask you to leave, the other consumers have been complaining about your unnecessary noise." Someone said. I looked up realizing it was the waitress. "Ok... We have to go guys" Jerome told the rest of the table a bit confused. Everyone got up a bit confused and pissed off. "What the hell..." I heard Lena mutter.

We got outside and we all just stood awkwardly. "I'll call the limo..." Perston said to everyone. Me and Adam stood aside from everyone else. "Don't listen to them." Adam said to me. He placed his hands around my waist. Adam smiles at me but I couldn't smile back. Still unable to keep my mind off of how foolish I am.

A drop of water hit my shoulder, followed by more drops. Before I knew it, the small drops turned to a monsoon of pouring rain. Adam began to laugh. "Great timing" Adam said. I still didn't smile. Before I could even realize what was going on Adam had pulled me into him and our lips collided. I instantly melted at the touch of his lips. His lips were soft and we continued kissing passionately ok the rain.

A small kiss turned into a make out session right in front of everyone. I moved away for a moment needing air before attaching back onto Adams lips and kissing him again. We finally stopped and I smirked biting my lip slightly, unnoticeably. Adam had red lipstick all over his face. He was blushing, and I was too.

""I got you to smile" Adam smirked. "Yea you did" I giggled. I was expecting someone to comment but there was silence. The rain got harder and I was now soaking wet. I'm sure my leather boots are ruined by now. My dress was soaked. This is great! Not... Ok where is the limo! Seriously.
