"(Y/n)-san? (Y/n)-san you shouldn't sleep in the library." you heard a voice say.

You lifted your head and scanned the area.

Finding no one around, you shrugged it off thinking it was your imagination and proceeded with writing your report.

You have been running sleepless for the past few days because of the pile of work your merciless teachers gave you.

Yawning for the umpteenth time today, you struggled answering your Japanese history assignment.

"Just a little bit more... and I'm ready to surrender." You whispered as you stared at the question.

"(Y/n)-san, the answer to that question can be found in your textbook, page 56-58." A voice said once again.

This time you knew it wasn't your imagination.

"What the-who's that?" you asked.

"(Y/n)-san, I am right here."

You were shocked, finding Kuroko sitting just next to you with a book laid out in front of him.

You gave a small laugh, "Sorry, Kuroko-kun. I didn't really notice you there." You said shyly as you went back to your work.

You had a crush on the teal-haired boy since middle school when he helped you find your classroom.

Though you could not explain the pain you felt in your chest when you saw Momoi cling to him and say proudly that she was his girlfriend.

He was the reason why you decided to study at Seirin. You wanted to keep the friendship you started with phantom.

You started avoiding him though. You loved seeing him on a daily basis, but not talk to him.

It was just too hard to bear when you know that the boy you liked is already taken.

"Have you not gotten used to me yet, (y/n)-san?" Kuroko asked, a hint of dejection evident in his voice.

You closed your book and looked at him. Even with exhaustion clearly visible on your face, you managed to smile.

Kuroko gasped silently when he saw your tired face.

He knew he shouldn't adore your fatigued and burnt out self, but he just couldn't help it.

Your normally sweet and vivacious face is now stained with exhaustion. Yet how could you remain so cute?

Without thinking, the teal-head reached out and touched your cheeks to pinch it gently. An action of his that truly shocked you.

"What's wrong Kuroko-kun?" you asked as you pulled your face away.

A dark blush is slowly tinting your face and you knew you had to hide it from him. It might set the young man off.

"I-I'm sorry, (Y/n)-san. I just... found you so adorable I couldn't help it." He said quite so cutely himself.

If you were just as annoying as Momoi, you would've squealed and jumped on him. But you're not.

"If you continue talking like that, you're gonna get in trouble with your girlfriend." You said.

Kuroko was silent for a few seconds. He was thinking about how you were able to say something like that.

Not hearing an answer from him, you reached down to your bag and pulled the textbook he was referring to earlier.

"Wait, (y/n)-san... I don't have a girlfriend." He reacted with a blank face.

"What about Momoi?" you retorted, reading silently.

The teal-head paused, then smiled at you. "Is that the reason you began avoiding me?" he asked curiously. "Were you jealous?"

Realizing how the situation has become awkward, you hurriedly gathered your belongings and threw everything inside your bag.

"Kuroko-kun, I just remembered I had to do something! If you'll excuse me-. You were about to leave when you were pulled back to your chair.

Kuroko was gripping firmly on your sleeve. Determination shone brightly from his otherwise, expressionless eyes.

"(y/n)-san, please answer me. Was Momoi-san the reason why you distanced yourself?" he pleads.

Not knowing how you would answer him, you just went for a simple nod. "I-I thought you were dating."

Kuroko sighed in great relief before enveloping you in a very warm embrace. "Thank goodness. I thought I did something wrong."

Before you could protest about how he was giving you a bone-crushing hug. Kuroko has already pulled away and planted a sweet kiss on your lips.

For a moment, you responded and kissed him back with equal tenderness.

But realizing that you're at the wrong place, you pushed him off. And the boy could only blink at you in surprise.

"We're in the library, Kuroko-kun!" you whispered loudly.

"Oh..." he chuckled. "Do you prefer it to be done somewhere else?"
