I remembered Midorima because I’m listening to Chopin’s Nocturne op.9 no.2

So I thought I should write about him again.

-----------------------

“(Y/n), what are you doing fidgeting like that, idiot.” You heard an all too familiar voice from behind you.

You smiled as you turned to look at him, somewhat the feeling of dread washed out of your body.
“Midorima-san, good day.”

He gave you a bemused look as you straightened yourself up in front of him.

“I thought you were playing horribly today when I heard you from outside, nodayo.” He said while looking at your pale hands.

The green-head might not base it on your facial reaction but he most definitely would know when you’re stressed based on how you play the piano.

You have been playing together since you were very young. He was actually the one to teach you about piano.

Before, all you can do was watch him play from a distance.

But since he took notice of you, the young man ever so hesitantly asked you to come over and sit next to him.

He patiently taught you the basics and when you learned, you began exploring and ended up as popular pianist in your University orchestra.

Many would take Midorima as a peevish young man who had little to no interest in human interaction, but you knew otherwise.

You’ve had feelings for the tall boy since middle school but couldn’t gather the courage to let him know. He’s younger after all.

Besides that, Midorima made it clear that he will not entertain relationships until he graduated college.

“Anyway, (Y/n), do not call me Midorima-san when you and I both know you are older, nodayo.” He said in a formal manner. “You’re already in college.” He added.

You smiled bitterly and looked at him, “That’s actually why I’m not doing well.” You confessed, and the green-head looked at you.

“Why?” he queried. “Do not tell me you are being bullied.” He continued with worry.

You giggled at his words. He looked cute when he’s worried. At least, he sounds like he is.
“Of course not, silly.”

“Then what is the problem, nodayo?”
You stopped and looked down at your lap. You wondered if you should tell him. But if you don’t, he will surely hate you.

Deciding that you let the green-head know, you took a deep breath. ‘Maybe I could also take this opportunity to confess to him.’

“You see Midorima, My parents have decided to take me to (Country) to continue my studies.” You finally said.

“What? For what purpose in fact?” he asked. “You have been enrolled here, why change their minds, nodayo?”

He then came back to his original feeling that someone might be bullying you.

The green-head gently pulled your arm, making you look into his worry-filled orbs. “Tell me the truth, (Y/n). Are you being bullied?” He said.

“No, it’s just that…” you began. “I’m getting married and my future husband lives in (Country).” You finished, eyes closed.

Midorima let your arm go as your words sank in his mind.

He slowly raised his hands and ran them over his face. You don’t know what those actions of his meant for he only did that for the first time.

It was silent for a few agonizing seconds before you decided to speak to him once again.

“I don’t think I will ever love him. But I still have to marry him because of my family.” you reasoned out.

“Just say the truth, (Y/n). You wanted this all along.” he said, face still tucked behind his large hands.

“No I don’t!” you said loudly, surprising the young man into looking at you.

“If I could only make a choice then I would definitely stay here! Because the one I love is here.” You said slowing down.

“Because YOU are here.” You continued, cupping his cheeks with your small hands.

You saw how his eyes widened and his face turn beet red.

“What?” he could only ask.

“You might never love me back but…” you moved closer and kissed his lips gently.

Expecting him to push you off you were surprised that the green-head kissed you back with even more passion.

Wrapping his arms around your waist, he pulled you closer deepening the kiss.

You were panting and flushed when he let you go.

“You should stay here and marry me instead.” he commanded. “It may not be comparable to the Akashi’s, but my family is pretty affluent as well, nodayo.”
And you could only nod in response as you saw him leaning forward to kiss your cheeks.

2:28am and the story ended with my laptop playing Pachelbel’s Canon in D major (piano)
