You're The Closest Friend I've Got-A lams fanfic

Part 15- Sunday/Monday

Sunday was a dream for the couple.  Alexander woke up first, he was in John's arms.  He had been dreaming of this for years, and then longing for it again over almost a week when they were separated.  Alexander hadn't told John that he was the reason why his Father was I jail, hell he didn't know if John had any idea of what Alexander thought had happened to change John's mind.  Alexander decided not to make breakfast or do anything els but just lay there and enjoy that warmth of John's arms.

"Hey baby girl." John said groggily as he started to wake up.  Alexander shifted to face him and gave John a kiss on the forehead.

"Last night was fun!" Alexander giggled.  John laughed along and nodded.

Peggy woke up Sunday morning with Maria in bed beside her.

"Did we..." she asked trailing off.  Maria shook her head.

"No, you were really drunk so I took you home, you kissed me and invited me in, like I said you were drunk so we climbed in bed and watched a movie and talked until you passed out." Maria answered.  Peggy liked that answer. 

"Oh, okay.  I mean I'm wicked hungover, but I'm not drunk... so is it okay if I do this?" Peggy said kissing Maria on the lips.  Maria blushed

"Yeah" Maria then returned the favor by kissing Peggy again.  That started making out, and apparently making a lot of noise because after only a little bit there was a pounding in the wall from Angelica in the room next door shouting

"Shut up you two my hung over brains can't handle the noise!" The two girls giggled and then went back at it.

Sadly Sunday was soon over and everyone had to go back to work or school. John had a bachelors degree in history and had done student teaching. Originally he wanted to be history teacher, but after college he hadn't perused any jobs instead, keeping his part time job at a Starbucks on the other side of town.  But today John felt a drive to make something out his life and change other lives.  He applied for a few open spots at local middle and high schools. 

   Alexander had barely any work at work that day, usually that put him in a bad mood, but to day he had something else in mind.  He spent the day googling 

"How much do weddings cost?" and "How much are engagement rings." He knew he wanted to marry John, but he didn't know when.  He thought he was rushing things, they had only been dating for a little over a week and a half, but they had known each other for almost fiver years.  later that day he went to the copy room to print something up for Gorge, and just like every time he was there Aaron was there.

"Hey Alex, how's it going?" He asked

"Actually pretty good, I got back together with John over the week." Aaron nodded. 

"Oh!" Alexander called out right before Aaron left, "Uh weird question, where did you buy Theodosia's ring?" Alex asked partly embarrassed.  Aaron chuckled

"Just go to one of the jewelry stores in the mall or watch like five seconds of TV, there are add's every where." Aaron left him with that.  Alexander made the copies he needed and brought them Gorge's office.  When he set the copies down on the desk Gorge said 

"Alexander sit, I need to talk to you." Oh shit shit shit Alexander thought, he's going to fire me, he thought.  Alexander shakily sat down.

"Before you say anything...Please dont fire me!" Alexander blurted out.  Gorge laughed,

"Alexander, I'm not going to fire you, your one of the most productive people in this office, I wanted to tell you that I know things have been rough in your personal life, but you have still be very productive.  I know its not much but i wanted to tell you..." Gorge paused know Alexander hated suspense.  "I'm giving you a bonus, um as I said it's not much but it's only $225" Alexander almost stood up to dance, that was enough to create an amazing engagement for John, ring included.  

"Oh my god! gorge thank you! I'm going to propose to my boyfriend and i was a little tight on cash, this is latterly the answer to my troubles!" Alexander was smiling so had his face hurt.  Gorge smiled too, happy to help out.    Alexander felt like he was floating two inches above the ground, it made it better when he walked into the break room and John was sitting there talking to Aaron.  John looked up smiling at Alex and holding up a takeout box from their favorite Chinese place.

"I just thought it would be a nice way to celebrate me punting three applications  for a teaching job's!" John exclaims.  Alexander runs and gives John a huge hug,

"I'm sorry, I'm just really happy." Alexander and John spent lunch staring into each others eye's and joking, with Aaron making barfing sounds and walking out.  John goes home and Alexander finishes up the day and heads home too.  

That night they go out to dinner together and then over too Lafayette and Hercules's house.  After the sophomore year of college Laff and Herc bought a small house onside the city.  They went home that night and fell asleep soaking each other in.

Hey guys, sorry it took so long to update, So like one of the common conflicts of Lams stories is that John has to be strait of his family will take him back to SC.  So I have these friends at school who are dating, and one of them is gay/trans and her parent's are threatening to send her to live with her grandparents.  I know that's kinda horrible but i just thought it was weird to see that happen in real life.  Also Ill be updating more often I hope, on both my stories.  See you lateeeeeer --- Kaay.
