*Chapter 39*

[Avie's POV]

We had arrived to the venue on time for soundcheck and had an amazing show.

After singing Hold On til May was when we were heading back tot he hotel for some time to ourselves.

I felt bad scaring the guys, even hurting Tony, so i offered to pick up some dinner for them.

I stopped by an Olive Garden and ordered some take out for them, and was walking out, putting the things in my car when suddenly i felt someone pull my hair and pinned me to the ground.

I was about to scream when i felt a knife pressed to my throat and was still.

"So help me, you scream, you're dead," a familiar girl's voice said.

Wait...

"M-Mindy?!" i said, fear striking me.

"Surprise, slut," she smirked evilly.

"W-W-What do you want from me??" i cried quietly.

"You think i want you to be happy?? You deserve sadness, Avery Winters. Randy broke up with me because he hated what you went through. Now i hear he's nice to you and even threatened me if i get near you?! If i can't get love, neither will you!!!" she screamed into my face.

"P-P-Please, let me go," i sobbed.

"Not until i give you my warning," she sneered. "Ever heard of The Scarlet Letter??"

I just stayed quiet.

"ANSWER ME!!!" she shouted.

I screamed quietly and nodded.

"Then you know what happened to Hortense," she sneered, then dug the knife into my shoulder and sliced it down.

I screamed out, but she covered my mouth with her hand as she sliced three deep feeling cuts itno my shoulder.

"You're crazy!!!!" i screamed. 

"Next time i see you, i better pray you're miserable and alone, jst like you're suppose to be. I won't let your stupid sob story make me look bad anywhere. Bad enough i was dumped because your stupid little friend hung herself, but not you!!!!" she sneered, then ran off.

I curled into a ball on the asphalt as i slowly felt the seering pain in my shoulder and hurried to the car, driving off.

Why?! Why can't i just live in peace?!

I zipped up my hoodie, feeling lightheaded as i lost blood quickly, tears streaming out of my eyes nonstop.

I grabbed the food and hurried inside, being sure nobody saw me as i entered.

I fumbled with the key card as i stuck it into the key hole and hurried inside, sneaking into the kitchen area and placing the food on the counter.

"Hey guys, food is he- Oh my god, Avie!!" Tony shouted and ran towards me before i collapsed and everything went black.
