*Chapter 49*

[Mike's POV]

I waited at the airport the next morning with Jaime, who kept asking me who I called.

Vic had already called Macy and she said her and Matt can arrive no earlier than next week.

Soon the people from the flight exited the terminal.

"Mike, can you now tell me who you called??" Jaime asked.

Right when I saw her I shouted over and she then walked over to us.

"Hey, its so good to see you again," Becky said with her beautiful smile.

"Hey Becky, same here," I said as we hugged.

"Wait, Becky? As in Daffodil's owner??" Jaime asked.

"Yeah, why not?? I mean, Avie trusts her, like she trusts Matt and Macy," I said.

"Good point," Jaime said as he then greeted Becky.

We then grabbed her luggage and headed out the airport.

"Oh god," Becky said as we entered Avie's room.

We decided that in any case of waking up and being able to go home, Avie would stay with Becky in a hotel not far from the hospital. I'm paying for their room.

We had dropped off their stuff at the hotel room and then got to the hospital.

"We almost didn't make it on time," Jaime said.

"Mindy Johnson did this to her?!" Becky asked, almost angry.

"She wasn't alone, but yeah," Jaime said, and then we introduce Becky to Vic and Tony, who greet her.

"I still don't know, guys. I mean... I don't wanna leave her..." Tony said, still clutched to her hand.

"We we got fans counting on us, Turtle. Fans like Avie who need us. We can't quit a tour because of Avie. She wouldn't want us to do that," Vic said.

"Besides, she has Becky with her, as well as Matt and Macy

He sighed. "You're right. But if she wakes up we're coming right back," he said.

"Man, of course," Vic said.

We soon had to leave for tomorrow. We said our goodbye's to Avie and then to Becky before leaving.

"Are you sure about paying??" Becky asked as i hugged her.

"Positive. You're a good friend to Avie, and she needs that now more than ever," i siad.

She smiles up at me. "Anything for her," she said.

I smiled and leaned over, kissing her cheek. I don't know why, but i felt like i really wanted to do that.

She blushed a bit as I did.

"Bye," i said.

"Bye," she said as i left the room, following the guys, Tony with his head hung low.

I reach up and pat his back.

"She'll be okay, dude. What's important is that she's safe now," i said.

He gave a small half-hearted smile. "That's true. I'm just really gonna miss her."

"I know, but we'll be back maybe even sooner than you think," i said.

"I hope so," Tony said.

*in the news*

"At long last, Avery Winters is found safe and sound and is at Santa Clara Memorial Hospital. At the moment, Pierce the Veil just came from visiting, but didn't want to say anything at the moment. According to vocalist, Vic Fuentes, word on Avie's health will be up on all newsfeeds soon, so stayed tune. In related news, 18 year old Mindy Johnson, cheerleading captain for Ariono Senior High School in Denver, Colorado, arrested for kidnapping and torturing Winters, as well as the brutal murder or Ariono High fooball captain and ex-boyfriend, Randy Dylan..."

We are happy to tell you that Avie is now safe and sound and in recovery at the hospital, and her attackers behind bars. Yes, a friend did get killed trying to save her. He was actually Avie's ex-bully. He apologized to her weeks before he was killed. Rest in peace, Randy Dylan. Our deepest condolences to his friends and family on their devastating loss. 

Unfortunately, due to the damages, Avie is in a medically induced coma, and will be temporarily blind for a rather short period of time. 

But even due to the circumstances, the tour will go on. Avie wouldn't want to disappoint fans. 

If you are of a cancelled show, hold on to your tickets. Those shows will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Stay tuned for tour updates.
