[Tony's POV]

"Please, don't make me eat," Avie begged, pulling from my arms and cringing into her pillow in her fear as Matt approached the food plate.

"Avie, you got to eat," Matt said, taking the lid off the plate. On it was a slice of meatloaf, some mixed vegetables, and mashed potatoes.

Avie covered her mouth as if she were going to throw up, more tears falling.

"Avie," I said softly to her, lifting her chin up gently so she looked up at me.

"We just want you to be healthy. Please, just eat even if its just little bites," I said.

She just looked down, as if in defeat.

"For me?" I asked.

She was quiet, and then spoke.

"I'll try," she said.

Vic moved the table towards her and she then hesitantly began to eat.

She avoided the meat but still managed to eat the veggies and some of the mashed potatoes. We had to convince her to take her antidepressant pills, but she still took them.

Its was finally daylight when a nurse entered the room and examined Avie.

"Well, her vitals seem alright, and she's able to move. She may need to rest a bit more and then can leave this afternoon," the nurse said.

"Thanks," Macy said.

"I've also been told that some nurses had to rush in. Our apologies. They're new students studying for their degree," she said.

"All is forgiven," Matt said.

The nurse makes some final check-UPS before leaving.

"That's when I noticed that Avie fell asleep.

I sat by her side as she slept soundly and peacefully.

" It seems very selfish of you, wanting her so badly to live when all she wants is to be with her family again," Macy said.

I thought about it for a moment.

"What are you trying to prove, Tony??" Macy asked.

I sighed, stroked some of Avie's hair from her face.

"I want her to see that she is worth saving. She has gone through so much. She doesn't deserve all the shit she's going through, or went through," I explained.

Macy stayed quiet as Vic cam from behind and hugged her, resting his chin on her shoulder.

She was right, though.

Its selfish of me doing this to Avie, but she's meant so much to me. I can't get her out of my mind when I'm not with her. Everyday, I worry.

I think... I think I'm in love with her.
