Heartbreak Girl: Luke Hemmings

Chapter 18

Alex's POV =) 

I woke up really excited for 2 reasons. One, it's Christmas Eve and two, it's Louis Tomlinson's birthday. 

I grabbed my phone and quickly tweeted him.

I grinned and put my phone back on charge and ran down stairs. My whole house is decorated in Christmas stuff and it's great. My Mum came home last week and made gingerbread houses and mince pies and god it's great. 

"Morning Mum!" I exclaimed making myself some toast. 

"Morning darling" she said and I smiled. I heard Will talking to her from the lounge room so I went in there with my toast. 

"We are spending Christmas with the Hemmings" Will blurted out and Mum gave him a look. 

"William James, I was supposed to tell her" Mum scowled and I sat down. 

"What about our family?" I asked. Mums family lives in Sydney and close to us as well. 

"I was getting to that before Will interrupted me". 

"Sorry" Will muttered but Mum didn't hear him. 

"Anyway, we all thought it would be a good idea to have our Christmas's together this year!". 

"Hold up, why though?" I asked really confused. 

"Well you and Luke are dating and our families get along and like each other" Mum said and I smiled. 

"That's cool, I'm excited" I said grinning and finishing off my toast. I took my plate back to the kitchen and then went upstairs to get ready. 

I had a shower, washing my hair and drying off. I dried my hair so it was perfectly straight and then I went to get ready. 

I put on a white crop top, blue denim overalls with white flowers on them, gold sandals, pearl studs and my silver love heart necklace. I applied a little bit of makeup and put everyone's presents in my Country Road bag, except for Luke because I would be seeing him tomorrow. 

I got my phone and put it in my pocket and went downstairs to get my gingerbread house and cookies. 

"Bye Mum, Will!" I yelled out as I grabbed my keys. 

"Bye Ally!" they yelled back and I closed the door and left. I got in my car and plugged my phone in and started playing Christmas music. 

"I don't want a lot for Christmas" I sang loudly. I have some kind of obsession with 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' and 'Mistletoe' by Justin Bieber. 

Once I arrived at the park everyone else was already there. Of course I'm late, I slept in. 

"SHE HAS ARRIVED!" Adi yelled and I laughed. It was Adi's 18th last night and everyone all got a little bit tipsy, including me. 

"I HAVE ARRIVED!" I yelled back getting my stuff from the car and walking over to where evening was sitting. 

"Aw is little Ally hungover?" Bec asked ruffling my hair and I rolled my eyes. 

"No, I didn't get drunk last night you idiot" I said sitting down next to Luke who kissed my cheek. He had on a white Vans t-shirt, black shorts and black Vans. 

"How are you?" Luke asked me as I put all my presents in the middle. 

"I'm good, do you know that we are spending Christmas together?" I asked and Luke nodded smiling. 

"Yes and I'm very happy" Luke said grinning which made me smile. 

"Present time!" Calum said and I gave him an confused look.

"Why aren't we eating first?" I asked really confused. 

"Because Adriana and Maria are about to loose it" Michael said with a breathy laugh. 

"Ok, I get to give my presents first though" I said and everyone nodded.

I got Ashton a black and white tie due muscle tank, Calum some new beanies, Michael an ATL band shirt, Bec a new Topshop skirt and lipstick, Adriana some American Apparel bows and Maria heaps of jewelry. 

"Shit Alex you give amazing presents" Ashton said and I smiled.

"Thanks Ash" I said. Once we were done with presents I was pretty happy. 

From Michael I got a gift voucher for General Pants, Ashton gave me Anchorman on DVD and some chocolate, Calum gave me a black Santa Cruz top, Bec got me a Topshop dress and some nail polish, Adriana gave me a new phone case and One Direction's new book and Maria gave me jewelry too. 

"I love you guys so much" I said as we started to eat. 

"Aw Ally you are so cute" Maria says and I grinned. We ended up eating everything that we had bought and I actually felt like I could explode any second. 

"What happens if I die because I've eaten too much?" I asked and everyone laughed. 

"Then that sucks doesn't it" Bec said and I rolled my eyes. 

"Can you guys sing for us?" Maria asked after a bit of silence. 

"Sure, what song?" Calum asked and I layed down in Luke's lap. 

"One of yours" I said while Luke played with my hair. 

"Ok, how about Beside You?" Ashton suggested and we all nodded.

"Within a minute I was all packed up, I got a ticket to another world" Calum began and I could see Maria smiling at her boyfriend. These boys honestly don't know how talented they are. 

"She sleeps alone, I wish I was, I wish I was inside you" Ashton said singing to Bec and I couldn't hold my laughter in and then again neither could anyone else. 

"Oh my god Ashton, that was very uncalled for!" Adriana exclaimed and we all started laughing again. 

The boys never ended up finishing Beside You but non of us really noticed. 

"Guys guys guys, Instagram photo please" I said and everyone rolled there eyes. 

"Of all of us, because who is going to take it babe?" Luke asked me. I got up and walked over to two girls who looked around to be 14. 

"I'm sorry to bother you but can you please take a picture of me and my friends?" I asked and the blonde hair girl nodded and followed me back to where everyone was sitting. 

"Um is you're brother Lachlan Payton?" she asked and I nodded. 

"Yeah do you know him?" I asked and she nodded. 

"He goes to school with me" she said blushing and I smiled. 

"Oh my god are you Ashely?" I asked and she nodded. 

"Yeah why?". 

"My brother has a huge crush on you!" I squealed and she went bright red. 

"Really?" Ashely asked surprised.

"Yeah oh my god and you like him too!" I said and she blushed. 

"Please don't tell him!" she said as we got closer to everyone. 

"Aw why not?" I asked disappointed. 

"Because he is popular and I'm not". 

"Ashely he likes you" I said and she didn't reply because we got to where everyone was sitting. 

"Guys this is Ashley" I said and she gave a small wave. 

"Hey!" Ashton said with a smile and I handed her my phone. She took a few photos of us before handing me the phone back. 

"Thanks Ashley" I said with a smile. 

"It's ok, anytime" Ashely said walking back to her friends. 

"She was nice, do you know her?" Bec asked and I nodded. 

"Kind of, she goes to school with Lachlan" I said and everyone nodded. 

At 5pm, we started to pack up and as I was grabbing my gingerbread house base Luke whispered something in my ear. 

"Meet me at my tee house at 5.30". I nodded and smiled. 

"BYE EVERYONE, MERRY CHRISTMAS!" I yelled as I walked over to my car. I heard them yell back and I laughed to myself. 

Luke's POV =) 

I quickly drove home and ran upstairs to my room to get my guitar. I quickly practiced and then went to my tree house. 

I built it when I was little with my Dad, Uncle and my brothers. I was around 7 and I would spend every spare moment in here. 

I heard the gate open and I looked out of the window and saw Alex coming. I took a deep breath and then she appeared at the top of the steps. 

"What are you doing Luke?" she asked and I began to strum my guitar. 

"It's the most beautiful time of the year" I began and Alex's confused face broke into a huge smile. 

I knew that this was one of her favorite Christmas songs and ever since I learnt that, I have been practicing it over and over again.

Once I was done I set the guitar down and Alex pulled me into a hug. 

"Luke you are so perfect, thankyou". 

"Not as perfect as you babe" I said kissing her cheek. 

"How long did it take you to learn that?" Alex asked sitting down on the mattress. 

"About 2 weeks" I said and she smiled. 

"How did I ever get so lucky?". 

"I ask myself that everyday" I mumbled under my breath and I'm pretty sure Alex heard me because she was smiling like an idiot.
