Heartbreak Girl: Luke Hemmings

Chapter 31

Alex's POV =) 

Luke stayed over at mine last night and luckily we weren't drunk because my Mum got home from the airport 5 minutes before us. 

"Oi Ally" Luke said and I giggled. 

"Yeah mate?" I asked still giggling and Luke let out a laugh. 

"Happy Australia Day babe" Luke said kissing my cheek and I smiled. Luke, Michael, Ashton and I are the only full Australians. Adi is Italian, Calum is Kiwi, Bec is half British and Maria is Spanish and Columbian. 

"Happy Australia Day Lukey" I said poking my tongue out at him and he rolled his eyes at me. I got out of bed and grabbed my clothes for the day and went and had a shower, since my hair was all knotty and gross from last night. 

I dried off and straightened my hair and put it in a messy bun on my head. I didn't bother with any makeup because I would be putting zinc on my face anyway. 

I put on my light blue bikini with a floral pattern on it, a crop t-shirt with some doughnuts on it and denim ripped shorts. I found the green and yellow zinc an put a stripe of each colour on both of my cheeks.

I went back into my room to find Luke wearing his Australian board shorts and a plain white singlet. 

"Here have some zinc" I said slipping on some white thongs (flip flops). 

"Thanks Ally" Luke said as I grabbed my phone and sunglasses. We found some Australian flag tattoos at the bottom of my draw and put one on each arm and then headed down stairs to have breakfast. 

As soon as we got downstairs I could smell the bacon and eggs and all that jazz. I knew Mum would be cooking because I'm pretty sure Will went home with Rosie last night. 

"Hey Mum" I said sitting down at the kitchen bench, Luke taking the seat next to me. 

"Hello Ally, Luke" she said simply still cooking the breakfast. 

"How was Adelaide?" I asked.

"Same old, same old". Mum started serving us up when the door opened and the other six walked through. 

"Geez, I don't have enough food for all of you " Mum exclaimed and I let out a giggle.

"It's ok Ms. Taylors, we've already eaten" Michael said. 

"How many times Michael do I have to tell you, please call me Marie" mum said and we all laughed. After Luke and I had finished breakfast I asked my Mum to take a photo of all of us standing in front of the pool. 

I stood in between Luke and Bec, both their arms around my waist. My mum took a few but I choose the one where you could see my green and yellow zinc the most. I uploaded that one to Instagram.

"You know why Australia is the best country?" Bec asked and we all looked at her. 

"Why?" Ashton asked, a bit confused. 

"Because I live in it" Bec said with a slight grin and we all rolled our eyes at her. 

"You are so full of it" I said and before anyone could reply my Mum came outside. 

"Ally darling, I'm going over to Julia's house ok, I'll see you later tonight, ok" she said to me. I smiled, honestly my mum can be so sweet. Sometimes. 

"Ok, bye Mum" I said and then she was gone. 

"Aw you're mum is so sweet!" Maria said and I let out a laugh. 

"Yeah, when she wants to be" I said. 

"Or when she isn't on her period" Bec said trying not to laugh which set me off. 

"I swear she is on her period 99 percent of the time" I said laughing still. I don't think anyone got the inside joke that Bec and I were sharing. 

"Anyways moving on" Calum said awkwardly. 

"I'm going to put some music on" Luke called heading inside. 

"Can you please put on Nova, they have the top 200 of 2013!" I called back. 

"Will do babe!". I smiled and then the start of the countdown began. 

"Can we go swimming?" Adi asked and I sighed.

"No, I invited you over on Australia Today, not to go swimming" I said sarcastically and Adriana gasped. 

"Well I'm going swimming anyway" she said taking her shoes and dress off and then she jumped in. Luke came over and sat next to me, pulling me onto his lap. 

"Wanna go swimming?" I asked and he nodded, taking off his singlet. Damn this boy has abs. 

I took off my shorts and top, then ran into the pool. I landed next to Bec who was lying on a blow up Australia thong (honestly the best things in the world legit) 

"Having a good time?" I asked her.

"Your pool is honestly one of the best things in the world!" Bec exclaimed and I let out a laugh.

I swam over to the edge to catch my breath and saw that Bec looked half asleep on the pool toy and me being me, just couldn't resist. 

I swam over to her and then dived under, easily pushing her off the thong. I heard a scream and I came up, laughing like a mad man. 

"That wasn't funny!" Bec squealed.

"I don't know man, I thought it was pretty funny" Calum said from the side of the pool and I shot him a grin. 

"I got my hair wet!" Bec protested. 

"It's Sunday anyway, you are going to be washing your hair anyway" I pointed out. 

"You have set days for washing your hair?" Luke asked shocked. 

"Yes we do" Bec and I said in unison. 

"Weird" Ashton said from the pool ring in the shallow end. 

Luke's POV =) 

After Bec's mini drama attack, Alex started to cook on the barbecue. 

"Traditional Aussie lunch" Alex said cooking some sausages and patties. I let out a laugh and continued to talk to her. 

"Have I ever told you how perfect you are?" I asked wrapping my arms around her waist. 

"I'm not perfect Luke" she sighed and I rolled my eyes. 

"Yes you are, your eyes are a beautiful green colour, your hair is gorgeous, your personality can light up the room, the fans are always telling me how sweet you are no matter what and that you don't respond to hate and if anybody doesn't think that you are perfect then that's their problem because you are my definition of perfect" I said kissing the top of her head. 

"No Luke, you are the perfect one in this relationship" Alex said once she had finished cooking the meat. I went to say something but Alex quickly slipped out of my arms with the food. I sighed and followed her to the table. 

"Alrighty mates, get in to ya tucker" Alex said with an Australian accent which sounded a lot like Ashton's. Everyone burst out laughing and then we all started eating. 

I looked over to Alex who was sitting down inbetween Bec and Adi. I really don't understand why she doesn't think she is beautiful, she really is. So many other people think that she is beautiful but she doesn't believe them. Or me. 

After lunch we had one last swim because it started to get cold. Sydney's weather is so weird, I don't understand it. We all headed inside and flopped down on the couches in Will and Alex's lounge room. There's is bigger then the main one because when Alex and Will were younger that's where they would have their sleepovers and stuff. 

"I wish it wasn't cold, what's up with this weather?" Maria stated and we all nodded in agreement. 

"It's the middle of summer, I really don't understand" Alex said from the floor. 

"Can we watch a movie?" Ashton asked and Alex nodded getting up and putting on Tomorrow When The War Began. I know it's one of her favourites because she used to make me watch it basically every time I was at her house, which was a lot. 

Alex came and sat next to me and I pulled a blanket over us and then the movie started. Nobody said anything during the movie, which was most unlike us at all.

Once the movie ended everybody went home except for me. Alex and I headed up to her room and she chucked on her rowing jumper and some black trackies and crawled under her covers. She looked so cute and innocent like that. She had the hood over her head and her green eyes wide. 

"You look so cute like that" I said climbing in next to her. 

"Cute as in 'oh my god your 5 year old is so cute' or?" Alex asked and I laughed. 

"Cute as in you are perfect, cute" I said and she blushed. Her cheeks are usually a soft pinky colour but when she blushes they go a bright red against her sun kissed skin. 

"How many times do I have to tell you Luke I'm not perfect ok, nobody is perfect and even though some people are close to it, I'm not" she said and I sighed.

"Let me refrase that, you are perfect to me" I said kissing her lips softly and quickly. 

"Well Luke, you are perfect to me" Alex said quietly before falling asleep.
