Heartbreak Girl: Luke Hemmings

Chapter 46

Alex's POV

I stayed over at Luke's last night. We just lay in his bed talking for hours and hours until I finally fell asleep. I gave me one of his old band t-shirts to wear to sleep, his Blink 182 to be exact. I woke up before Luke did, because I had something important to do today.

The Sydney Fashion Institution had offered me a full time job as a professional stylist which is so amazing. But that means I have to drop out of Uni, something which is very hard for me to do. I had spoken to my mum about this and she said that I should take the opportunity. Will said the exact same thing as well. I had only spoken to Will and mum about it because I didn't know how the others would react.

"Baby where are you going?" Luke mumbled as I eventually pulled myself free of his grip. His hair was sticking up in all different directons and his eyes were half closed.

"I have to go and do something important, I will be back soon" I promised kissing his cheek.

"What are you doing?" Luke asked sitting up. May aswell tell him now. 

"Well um I'm dropping out of Uni" I said and Luke laughed at me. He thinks I'm joking!

"Yeah nice joke Ally, what are you really doing?" Luke asked with a laugh and looked at him, my face completly serious.

"Oh you aren't joking, why though?" Luke said after he stopped laughing.

"I got offered a full time job with the Instatution, so I said yes but that means I have to drop out of Uni so I can take this job" I explained and Luke nodded.

"Thats really amazing" he said kissing my cheek and I smiled. I quickly said goodbye and then headed back to my house to get ready. I had a quick shower, not bothering to wash my hair since it was still pretty clean. I got out and fish tailed my hair into a fish tail braid and applied a little bit of natural make-up.

I put on a pale pink t-shirt with a white peter pan collar, black skinny leg jeans, gold sandals and pearl earrings. I put my letter, phone and purse into my brown satchel and grabbed my car keys and then left. I was starting to get a little bit nervous once I got closer. I really enjoyed my time at Uni and I made some amazing friends, espically Jordan, Harry, Emma and Eboni. I pulled up out the front and walked straight towards the office that I needed to go to. I went to the lady at the front desk who gave me an annoyed look, which I ignored.

"Um I'm Alexandra Payton, I have a meeting with Mr. Jackson at 1pm?" I asked looking at the clock on the wall. 12.59pm, spot on.

"First door on the right" she said and I rolled my eyes at her. At least have a little enthusasim in your job, please. I knocked on the door and heard a muffled 'come in'. I opened the door and saw a man in his early 50s at the desk and he told me to sit down.

"You must be Alexandra Payton?" he asked.

"Yes" I said with a nod.

"One of our best first year students, its a shame you are dropping out" he said and I blushed a little bit at that.

"I got offered a full time job, with the Sydney Fashion Instatution" I said and he nodded.

"Only at 17, you must be good" he said and I blushed some more. I feel like he is trying to convinve me to stay, which he won't. I know I want this job with all my heart and nothing will stop me from getting it.

"I do try but here is my letter and I will be off" I said standing up. I really could not stand being in there for one more moment, it was weird.

"Oh well thankyou" he said and I thanked him for his time and then left. As I was walking out I heard a voice calling my name. I turned around to see Jordan running after me. I have totally forgotten to tell them about this.
