One week after she had arrived in the afternoon Merida decided to wander around the castle and get to know her way around, might as well do it since she's going to be here for a long time. Eventually she came upon the west wing where the dragon told her clearly not to go. But she recalled coming here one week ago when she was fallowing him. She then saw the familiar door that's he had locked before she entered. Maybe his up there. She took a step closer to the door and reached out for the handle.
"What are you doing here!!?"
She whirled around and saw Hiccup stand on his two hind legs and his wings spread out. She was frighten by his posture. He seemed powerful and looked like he didn't show mercy to anyone. Never in her life did she ever think that she would've been afraid. Her father always told her otherwise, but now she didn't believe such bravery.
"I said what are you doing!!!" He growled furiously at her.
"I'm sorry..." Merida could barely recognize her small whispered voice. Hiccup quickly noticed that he was losing his temper and saw he was scaring her, he immediately took a deep breath and soften his snout but he was still angry at her.
"Forget it, DO NOT COME NEAR HERE EVER AGAIN." With that he turned around and walked away. Merida was surprised that he didn't ripped her to pieces but she relieved she was okay....for now at least.
"Wait! Hold up!" Merida ran after him as she noticed him stop, indicating what did she want.
"C-can I go with you, please, it's kinda lonely being in a big castle....and I don't know where Mrs. Pots and the others are."
Hiccup understood what she felt, being in this castle can get lonesome, especially if you have lost everything you had....
Hiccup nodded and kept walking but this time in a more slower pace, for Merida to be able to catch up. She was happy that he let her stick with him today. She wanted to learn a little more of all this, the abandoned castle, the servants and why are they objects, how did that came to be? And the dragon walking before her, where is he from? Is there more of his species? Why did he take refuge in this castle? Does he have a family? What's his past? Merida caught herself staring at the black dragon and found herself more intrigued by him. She then came to a conclusion to try and get to know him.
"Um.....h-how exactly did you get he-"
"Do not ask me that or any similar questions again, please. You can ask me anything but nothing related to this castle or the people living here, okay." He kept his calm as best he could.
Merida stayed silent for a moment he didn't let me finish but I guess he knew what I was going to ask. Well at least he said please.
She guessed it was a touchy subject for him."Where are we going?" Merida said as she looked around the new surroundings, she saw that she hasn't been been in this part of the castle, I guess this castle is bigger than I thought.
He didn't think about that, where was he going? He thought about for a minute,
damn it where should we head? Wait that's it! He continued walking taking a different corridor leading to the back of the castle. Merida was confused, he suddenly stopped for a minute and then went back to walking, nodding to himself. He looked rather like a kitty, with all respect of course, she giggled to her thought. Hiccup turned to her and she quickly looked away and cleared her throat.
