"Im heading to bed...I'll see you tomorrow." Merida turned around to look at Hiccup, as they stood at the entrance of the castle doors.

"Right.....goodnight."

Hiccup waited until Merida was out of earshot to let out a big groan of desperation, he had been holding since walking back. He rubbed his hands desperately in his face before hearing a small ahem coming below him.

"How did it go lad?"

"How do you think it went Lumiere."

".....great!?"

"She loved the gift, that's a thumb up. But the rest.....I don't know, Lumiere.." Hiccup breathed out.

"What happened lad?"

"Nothing much, just the fact that I was left with mixed feelings."

"Mix feelings?"

" I rather not talk about it." Hiccup gave a small frown before starting to walk towards his chambers, Lumiere hopping right behind.

" What you need boy is a.....romantic evening with the beautiful lady." Lumiere smirked up at Hiccup.

"WHAT! LUMIERE! How can you possibly think of that! I don't...I can't....I'm a gentleman..." Hiccup straighten his armor.

"Woah woah my boy, what are you thinking. That's far from what I'm saying. Lad I didn't know you had that type of thought in your mind." Lumiere started laughing hysterically. Hiccup face turned the deepest shade of red there could probably be. He looked away from Lumiere in embarrassment.

"Oh lad get your mind out of the gutter before I label you a pervert or worse she does."

At this Hiccup jumped a little and if his face wasn't a deep red there was already, it would have been now at the mention of her name.

"I'm only kidding, you don't have to make such a face as if it's the end of the world boy. Well technically it is for us if you don't make her fall in your arms soon."

"I'm doing the best I can but I already told you I don't want to dive into something that can hurt you guys or even her......I don't want to get your hopes up." Hiccup remarked.

"It's alright lad, I know everything will clear up event and for that to happen, I know exactly how." Lumiere hopped right in front of Hiccup making him stop in his tracks.

"And what's that?"

"Like I was saying before you interrupted me with your little assumption is that you need a "romantic evening" and before you start thinking about many things that can surprise me, listen me out."

Hiccup made a straight face with his still red face.
"......go ahead."

"By "romantic evening" I mean like a date."

" A date?" Hiccup asked surprise.

"Yes a date. It will help you determine that little feeling inside you Lad."

"I don't know Lumiere, I don't know if she will like that. She's not the type to fall head over heels for something like that at first."

"Well I think, It's a great way to help you know for sure what you are feeling for that lassie. It will definitely help you see things more clearly and what path to take with the lass."

Hiccup thought for a moment in what Lumiere suggested, "Alright....what do you suggest we do then?"

"I was thinking a romantic dinner followed by dancing moment with the perfect music-"

"Dancing! Lumiere I haven't dance in a long time."

"Don't worry I'm pretty sure you will do fine. I'll make sure you dance to the right music. And after that you can stroll around the palace garden."

"That old filth? I don't know if that's a great ide-"

"Aha ah, you leave everything to me, I'll turn this place into the most romantic site you had ever seen!"

Hiccup rolled his eyes playfully. "Fine, Mr. Romantic I leave everything in your capable candle hands. Just don't do anything embarrassing."

"Don't ya worry lad, I got you cover. Ask her tomorrow but make sure you tell her to be ready in two days time for the actual date. I need to prepare after all."

" Hopefully you know what you're doing. I'm going to turn in for the night."

"Rest well young master and leave everything to me." Lumiere did a small bow as he watch Hiccup give a small nod and start to walk to his chambers.
