Hiccup....

Merida couldn't progress what this strange man was saying. But one thing for sure she would not let this stranger fool her.
"What do you want! Why do you claim such name! Who are!?" She firmly stated.

"Look meri-"

"DO NOT use my name freely, I don't know who you are or how you know my name, so hear me say clearly, I don't want to hear my name come out of your mouth!" Merida spitted out angrily.

Hiccup just gulp at her scary nature and also the fact on how he was going to explain everything and make her understand it's actually him.

He took a deep breath and released it slowly.
"Alright...but hear me out.."

"I'm listening." Merida directed all her attention towards him.

" Like I said my name is Hiccup.. "

"And you think I'm stu-"

"I KNOW!...I know it's hard to believe I'm the Hiccup you know. I know that I don't look like a dragon and you don't trust me but I can explain, just tr-"

"What...- h-how do you know about h-him..I-I mean Hiccup. How do you know about him! What did you do to him! It was you wasn't! Where is he! Answer me now!" Merida took a nearby sword that was shield away by an armor statue and started walking towards him.

"Whoa, calm down..just let me explain more please..Merida!" Hiccup started backing up stumbling in the process, trying to look for something to protect him.

"I said where is he! What did you do to him!" She started to charge at him. At this point the quiet servants that where just watching from the sidelines started panicking. They quickly rushed in front of Merida yelling at her to stop, trying to make her understand.

"M'lady! Please hear the boy out! Everything his saying is only the truth, so please just listen..." lumier quickly shouted getting her attention.
She looked at the servants in front of her trying to protect the young man that had fallen to the ground trying to get away from her.

"Wha-" she looked at them and back to the boy clearly confused.

"Lumier is right Merida, and I know it's something hard to believe but it's.....truly me...Hiccup." Placing his hand on the back of his neck, he meet her eyes.
"Please believe me...I wouldn't do anything to hurt you...your my friend...more to say my only friend from the outside world..."

"I-I....no no, you can't be him....his a dragon...y-you're a human...that's not possible.....right?"
Merida shook her head trying to deny everything in front of her, making the statement more to herself then the others.

"The world can be full of surprises...just like you were...." Hiccup sincerely looked into her eyes trying to maybe make her understand that it was him. But instead he only saw disbelief and a confused Merida.

"Look I-"

"Stay back!"

Hiccup started to walk towards her but she immediately lifted the sword up placing it between them but directing it more towards him.

"Alright Alright I'm sorry but...let me show you...that's it actually me....let me help you get out of this confusion." Hiccup pleaded.

"And how are you going to do that!?" She gripped the handle of the sword tighter.

"By showing you in person...come I'll show you." Hiccup offered his hand for her take.

"NO, show me right here, right now." She ignore his offered hand but kept her gaze straight at his eyes.

Hiccup could only sigh as he broke the gaze clearly seeing that it's not going as he wished.

"You're clearly stubborn as ever...look, to show you I need to be outside so the sun rays can hit me faster than being in here. The faster we get this over with the faster you understand. So saying no more follow me." Hiccup started to walk out the room leaving Merida skeptical about the decision she should make.

Talking a deep breath and gripping the sword more tighter she took her first step towards following him.

She noticed that they were heading to the top of north tower. It was where Hiccup forbid her to enter. Previous events came flushing back to her. She kept following him not knowing where they were going.

"Where are you takin me!?"

"Rooftop."

"And why!?"

"Please don't say anything to make matters worse and just follow me."

Merida scoffed but did what he said, and kept her mouth shut until she saw that they had reached the wooden door that lead to the rooftop. The man proceeded to open the door for her and let her go first.
"You go out first." Merida demanded in which she just got a shrug in reply and a okay.

Yeah right, like I will fall for that old trick. Merida thought as she followed right behind him. She saw him walking towards the center of the plain roof and faced his view towards the sunrise. She couldn't help but stare at him, there was still something inside of her telling her she known him far more than she wanted to admit. Either way she couldn't help but see in his face pain, reminisce, guilt but over all the one thing that stood out from all was..........
.......loneliness.....
