I'm so sorry for not updating in forever ! I've had writer's block and Friday was opening night of our fall musical at my school. I hope this chapter doesn't suck !!

Tyler's POV

I walked up to the music store and tried to open the door. I fumbled with the handle and almost slipped off of my crutches. Suddenly, another hand opened the door for me.

"Let me get that for you," Frank said. I thanked him and walked in. "It's no problem. I didn't realize you were coming in today."

"Yea," I said. "Gotta pay the hospital bills somehow." I walked to the back room and saw Greg sitting at his desk. He looked up at me with a smile.

"Hey, Tyler. I'm glad you're okay."

"Thanks, Greg. I hope everything was okay this week."

"Yea, Dallon and Frank helped with covering your shifts. I'm glad you're back though. You can go ahead behind the counter and take a seat." I thanked him once more before walking to where I was told. I balanced my crutches against the wall and settled onto the stool. I began busying myself with organizing the guitar picks that sat in a dish next to the register.

The little bell chimed and I looked up. Gerard was standing there with an excited smile.

"Gee!" He looked over at me and his smile widened.

"Hey, Tyler!" He walked up to the counter. "Josh told me that you were back to work today so I thought I'd come by and see how you're doing."

"Well, thanks. I'm doing much better. The doctor said my cast might be coming off next week."

"That's good."

"Mhm. But how are you?"

"I'm pretty good. I'm actually looking for staff paper. Do you guys have any?"

"Yea. I would show you, but my doctor doesn't want me walking too much. I'll get Frank to show you." I called Frank's name and he was soon emerging from the back with a box of song books. "This is my friend Gerard. Can you show him where the staff paper is?"

"Uh, um," he stuttered. I gave him a confused look and he coughed. "Sure. I'm Frank, by the way."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Tyler's friend Gerard." Frank laughed before leading him away.

A woman walked up the counter and I started to check her out. I smiled at the The 1975 record.

"I love this band!" I commented as I scanned it.

"Really? I've never listened to them before. My girlfriend likes them though. This is a birthday gift for her."

"That's cool. That'll be $29.56." She handed me her card and I scanned it. I gave her the receipt and thanked her on her way out. I heard laughing and turned my head to see Gerard and Frank emerging from the back. Gerard was holding a package of staff paper.

"You'll definitely have to show me that sometime!" Gerard laughed. He set the package on the counter and I scanned it.

"For sure!" Frank agreed. He sighed contently and smiled at me.

"$8.20," I said. Gerard pulled out a $20 bill and I opened the register. I gave him his change.

"Thanks, Tyler. I'll see you later. Are we all still on for movie night next week?"

"Yep!"

"Nice. I'll see ya then." He grabbed his bag and turned to Frank. "It was nice to meet you." I saw Frank blush as he waved. Once Gerard was gone, I laughed.

"What's so funny?" Frank asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"You're just really bad at hiding your feeling, Frank. I never knew that about you." Frank blushed deeper.

"Shut up!" I just laughed more as he stomped away.
