Okay so it's been over a month since my last chapter and I don't really have an explanation ?
I know I suck at updating and I'm so sorry. Please don't hate me.
I love you guys for putting up with this.

It was the early days of fall. The leaves were beginning to change. Tyler and I walked hand in hand and heard the crunches under our feet. It reminded me of the summer together at camp. I thought about walking along the trail to the perfect spot in the woods.

We were walking through the park on our way to dinner. Today was our one year anniversary. A year with Tyler had felt like an eternity (in a good way). I felt like I'd known him my whole life.

I turned my head to look at him. He was glowing in the sunset. The orange shades were gorgeous on his soft features. He looked back at me and blushed.

"Stop staring at me," he laughed.

"I can't! You're too beautiful. I can't keep my eyes off of you." He looked away from me.

"You're ridiculous." I laughed and kissed his cheek.

When we got to the restaurant, I gave them my name and we were led to our table. The place wasn't too fancy, but it was nice. There was a rose in a vase on the table. It was lovely.

Our walk home was just as nice. The stars were shining brightly above us. It was a bit chilly and Tyler moved closer to me. I put my arm around his shoulders.

When we got inside Tyler ran to our bedroom. He came back out with a package. I smiled and picked up my gift for him off of the counter. Tyler sat down on the couch. He pat across from him for me to sit.

"You should open first," he said. I agreed and he handed me the present.

I unwrapped the gift in my hands. I looked down upon the familiar notebook with confusion. My hands traced the leather cover.

"Tyler," I said, looking up at him. "Why are you giving me this?"

"Do you remember when we first started dating? We went to my house and you tried to read this notebook but I stopped you. I was scared. I told you that you could read it when I was comfortable." I nodded. "I'm not scared anymore. You know everything about me and I trust you." I felt my throat get tight.

"Tyler-" I choked. "This is one of the sweetest things you've ever done for me." I wiped at my eye before throwing my arms around his neck. "But what about everything you have in here? All of your poems and songs and drawings. Don't you want to keep them?"

"You'll have them and I have you." I kissed him sweetly before sitting upright and collecting myself. "Well, now my gift is gonna seem stupid."

"No it won't!" he laughed. I clutched the journal tightly against my chest before setting it on the table next to me. I picked up the box and presented it to Tyler.

"I hope you like it."

"Of course I'm gonna love it," Tyler laughed. My leg bounced nervously. I watched him open it with anticipation. When he saw what it was, he smiled wider. "Josh!" He opened the front cover and carefully flipped to the first page.

I'd made a scrapbook of our year together. There were pictures, receipts, and movie tickets. The first page was my favorite picture of us. My mom had taken it of us on my birthday. I loved the Christmas lights in the background and Tyler's adorable smile. Under the picture was a note I wrote to Tyler.

Dear Tyler,
When I met you, I thought you were an asshole. I'm sorry for judging you so quickly. I know now that you're one of the sweetest people on this entire planet. You do everything you can to make others happy. You are so selfless.
And that's only one reason why I love you. This book is full of so many more reasons. Every cute date or romantic gesture. Every beautiful smile. Every corny joke or stunning poem.
I love you so very much. This has been the best year of my life.
Love, Josh

I watched a tear roll down Tyler's cheek as he read. I raised a finger to wipe it away. He laughed and more fell. He reached out and squeezed my hand.

"Josh, this is amazing." He looked up at me and smiled. I leaned over to kiss him. He hugged me tightly, deepening the kiss. I didn't resist. I pulled him closer so he was sitting in my lap. Our kisses grew sloppier by the second. Tyler broke away and pressed his forehead against mine. "I love you so much," he breathed.

"Not as much as I love you," I said, smirking. I tilted my head up and reconnected our lips.

Again, I'm very sorry for how long this took. I'm always so worried about the chapters not being good enough.
I hope this is okay.
