Chapter 24

I was laying in a hospital bed staring at the depressing eggshell white walls. It was very chilly in this room especially because I was wearing nothing but a hospital gown. I was waiting with Corey in a room for pre op and I could see the worry in his eyes and body language. He was sitting by my side holding onto my hand. We were surrounded by silence because we were just waiting any minute for me to be taken in.

I lightly squeezed his hand to spark some match in this sad room. He lifted his head up and flashed me his sexy ass smile.

"You're not supposed to be worry babe." I said laughing at how worried he is when I should be the worried one. "I'm not worried, you got this." he said acting tough.

"You're such a liar, you have the same look in your eyes when Chase got hurt." I said looking him straight in the eyes. He then smiled and put his head down. "How do you have such an effect on me. You amaze me you know that." he said before leaving a sweet and passionate kiss on my lips. I crave his lips are the time. He just has the most softest, wet, plump lips ever.

We remained in eye contact admiring everything about eachother when we heard someone clear their throat. I turned my focus to the door to see the nurse, "Ms. Ramirez, you have visitors, would you like them in?"

I looked at Corey confused because the only one that knew was him and my mom. Corey then had a sketch look on his face and I knew he was up to something. "Who did you tell?" I whispered to him while giving him the look. "Yeah let them in please. Thank you." I said smiling at the young nurse.

"Just a few of our friends, and family." he said and soon more than a few people walked in. It was Joc, Crystal, Trayce, Layla, Kourtney, Justin, Jose, Yaz, Kiké, Mariana, and Griffen.

"Guys, you didn't have to come." I said propping myself up higher in the bed. "You little hoe, you didn't even tell us about this! You're lucky my brother in law is pretty cool." Layla said referring to Corey. "Awhh she called me pretty cool." he said acting like he was holding his heart.

"Don't make me regret saying that." Layla said pointing at him. "But you, I'm mad at you." she said pointing at me.

"Why didn't you tell us Lani? We all want to be here for you." Kourtney said sitting

on Justin's lap.

"Yeah, I'm your best friend, you should've told me before rookie." Joc said.

"I'm sorry guys." I said putting my hands up in surrender. "I just didn't want to ruin Layla's shower." I said looking at Layla.

"You're right, that would've totally made me soooo mad at you." Layla said sarcastically and rolled her eyes.

"I don't need your sarcasm." I said watching the drama queen right in front of my eyes.

"Sometimes I can't tell who the older one is." Griffin said laughing at the way Layla and I argue.

"Hey Griff, I didn't even see you. Come here." I said as he walked to me to give me a hug. He gave me a hug and I scooted over to let him sit on my bed. These rooms aren't meant for a whole team so there wasn't much room in here.

"Dylan, Austin, and Sav couldn't make it, but they said to wish you the best of luck and they will see you when you get out." Griffin said as he leaned his head on me.

"No worries. I'm glad I have you guys." I said talking like a major simp.

"Are you nervous?" Crystal asked as she sat on Joc's lap.

"Yeah, kind of. I'm just scared about how people will look at me differently, or talk about me. You know how all that goes." I said fiddling with my bracelets.
