Lani's pov:

I was ready to leave the hospital all I needed to do was wait for the nurse to hand me the release papers.

The whole family has been visiting a lot and I was so happy to see them, especially Corey. I didn't tell anyone about my dream, well more like nightmare that I had and I was afraid to talk to Corey about it. It seems like the more I think about it, the more I get scared that it can actually happen.

"How are you feeling babe?" Corey said breaking me out of my overthinking.

"I'm feeling fine. The meds are just feeling strong." he chuckled and continued to fold my blanket.

"Here you go Alani. Just sign right here and then you are free to go." the young nurse said pointing to where my signature was needed. I quickly picked up the pen and swiftly glided my signature on the paper.

"You are all good to go. Hope your recovery is quick and make sure to check up with your doctor in a week." she said strolling my wheelchair out.

I nodded and tried to get up and into the car but I felt no strength in my body.

"Here babe, be careful I'll help you." he said opening the door and lifting me up into the car.

He then quickly ran to the other side and hopped in. He turned the car on and plugged in his phone and started playing his country music. I looked at him with dissatisfaction in his music choice.

"Don't give me that look Alani." he said flashing his pearly whites at me.

"I'm sorry, I just can't with your music." I said laughing at my little country boy.

"Fine, you're in charge of the music then." he said handing his phone over to me.

I was scrolling through all his music and I found a playlist that I had made a long time ago. It was full of Usher, Nelly, Ashanti, Ciara, Missy Elliott, and so many more. This was the playlist I could listen to for hours.

Both Corey and I were jamming and singing along to the music when we pulled into a Starbucks drive thru.

"I have a pit stop before we head home." he said with a smirk.

I was confused because he hates how strong the coffee is here and he always makes his own. He pulled up to the machine and began to order.

"Welcome to Starbucks, let me know when you're ready to order."

"Hello, can I get a venti iced caramel macchiato but substitute the vanilla with a pump of raspberry please." he said knowing my Starbucks order memorized.

"Also can I get grande Iced tea passion lemonade with a pump of raspberry as well." he said ordering himself a refresher.

"Your total is $9.47 at the first window."

"Babe you know my order, you're so cute." I said grabbing his hand to hold.

"Well you do order the same thing almost every time so I had to remember it." he said shrugging his shoulders.

"Thank you Corey."

"No problem love." he said leaning over to kiss me.

We were now on our way home and we soon pulled into Corey's driveway. I agreed with him to stay here for awhile, at least until he feels that I am fully recovered. I knew that I was going to need help eventually with things and Layla is about 13 months prego and ready to pop so Corey was willing to help.

I was now trying to get out of his high Jeep, but I was in too much pain.

"Baby, why didn't you pick me up in my car. Your car is so much higher." I said out of breath and wincing in pain.
