Alani Pov:
It has been a week since the chaotic dinner went on, and everyone left to Arizona last night. I was now home, alone since Layla left with Trayce. It was difficult to convince her to go because she was afraid of leaving me by myself. I promised her that I would be fine, but she still kept insisting to stay behind with me. Finally Ethan promised her that he would check in on me and that finally convinced her to go ahead and go.
I told Ethan that I would give him $50 a week if he didn't constantly check up on me because I was being treated like a kid. I don't need a "babysitter," I just want time alone. But sure enough, he took the offer like I knew he would.
I was now walking around the house in nothing but underwear and one of Corey's large baseball shirts. I know wearing his shirt is probably not the healthiest thing to do right now, but it was comforting and it made me feel like nothing ever happened. I'm not trying to forget what happened, but I just don't want to think about it.
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my container of Ben & Jerry's Cheesecake brownie flavored ice cream and walked back up to my room. It was pouring rain with lightning and thunder going on here in Los Angeles, and for those who live out here, you know that we don't get much of this weather often. So Netflix and laying in bed all day felt really suitable.
I was on about my 7th episode of Grey's Anatomy when I heard my doorbell ring. I groaned knowing that I will have to get up and out of bed. I grabbed my apple Tv remote and quickly paused my show because I will not miss a second. I got up and out of my warm blankets and headed towards the front door.
"You better give me back those $50 buck Etha...." I said swinging the door open to see that it wasn't Ethan, but to see it was Corey.
I examined his face and saw that he has puffy red eyes but I didn't know if it was from actually crying or maybe from the punches Crystal and Dylan left on him. He also has dried up bloody scratches and dark bruises all over his face.
"Whaa.. What are you doing here?" I said angry at his presence.
"Please just let me talk to you." he said with his eyes tearing up. He then stepped towards me grabbing my hand.
I stepped back and pulled my hand away from his touch. "You're supposed to be in Arizona, why the hell did you show up here drunk. What? Do you think I'll really forgive you? Don't you think you've done enough damage? How dare you even show up here! I can't. Leave!" I said angry.
I went to close the door but before it could shut all the way, it was stopped by his hand. He then forcefully pushed it open causing me to jump in fear.
"Corey get the hell out of my house!" I yelled trying to push him out the door. Every time I tried to push him out, he just kept pulling me closer into his arms.
"Don't touch me! Get your hands off of me!" I shouted.
I finally pulled my body away from him and ran to the kitchen to grab the landline phone and call for help. He then chased after me, causing me to really get scared. I went to grab the phone but it wasn't there.
"Fuck." I said under my breathe.
I looked around to find something and saw a knife on the counter. Corey has never shown an aggressive scary side of him and to think that I would need a knife for my defense against him, really scared me.
