"COULD you be less disrespectful, please? That girl is my best friend," Nina said looking at him, annoyance etched all over her face.

Joshua did not seem to care.

"She is extremely rude," he said.

Emiko shook his head and said, "Dude! What the hell is wrong with you? These ladies are our guests here."

Joshua continued clicking and scrolling down on his phone.

Nina scoffed, an unladylike thing to do, but she didn't care. She was too disgusted by Joshua's attitude.

She stood up and grabbed her purse.

"W-where are you going, Nini?" Emiko asked hastily.

Joshua looked at her.

"Outside, what do you think?" she said sharply. "Bel is probably outside fuming because of him!" She pointed her perfectly manicured nails at Joshua. He didn't flinch one bit.

"Bye!" Nina said and spun around. Her walk caught Emiko off guard for a moment. Then he stood up quickly and snatched the phone from Joshua's hands.

"Hey!" Joshua said angrily.

"Are you insane, nigga? We just lost two chics because of you. Two freaking hot money-loaded chics," Emiko replied hotly, but in hushed tones so only Joshua would hear and see how mad he was.

"Pfft. Man, forget them. I don't need two snobbish stuck up bitches up in my ass all day anyway. Besides, how rich could they be?"

"They're paying us five thousand a week," Emiko said, his voice taut with anger. He was trying hard not to punch his pigheaded friend.

Joshua's mouth fell open.

"Five thousand each?" he asked.

"Yes," Emiko replied. "And we would have been more fortunate if you'd kept your anger in check."

For a while, Joshua fell silent. Then he sighed.

"Man," he said softly and dragged a hand over his face. "I'm sorry, man, I didn't mean to ruin things for us. You know I've been going through some things...and my anger's been on a short leash lately and..." his voice trailed off.

Emiko sighed deeply and sat down.

"I understand, man. Just try to be more patient, OK? These are girls, they've gotta be treated delicately.... and in a special way," Emiko told him.

They looked at each other and a grin passed through them like they were sharing an inside joke. The truth was Emiko and Joshua weren't just tutors. They were predators... and the two gorgeous girls who had just walked back into the restaurant were the next prey.

BELLA and Nina walked towards the boys. This time, they both stood up. Emiko flashed his smile again.

"Nini," he said affectionately. "You came back."

Nina did not seem to be moved by him. He kept on smiling and outstretched his hand towards her. She didn't take it. She simply gave him a once over and sat opposite him. Bella took his hand and was amused when he turned her palm over and kissed the back of her hand.

"Miss Bella," he said, smiling."My sincerest apologies for the behaviour of my friend. He's been a bit worked up lately."

Bella smiled. "Such a gentleman. I can't say the same for your friend. Although, I would like to hear the apology from him."

She turned to look at Joshua and Emiko would have sworn he saw sparks fly when their eyes met. The tension between them was thicker than he thought. If gazes could light fires, he was sure they'd both be aflame by now.

Emiko cleared his throat."Joshua... Apologize."

Joshua didn't move. Neither did Bella. They were in a staring contest... to see who would back down first. Neither seemed ready to lose.

Emiko cleared his throat again.

"Well?" Bella questioned Joshua. "I'm waiting."

His full lips smirked. "If you think that I'm gonna- "

"Joshua!" Emiko said sharply.

"All right," he retorted and groaned, breaking his stare from hers by looking at the ground.

After a full five seconds, he looked up and smiled.

Bella's heart involuntarily skipped a beat. He was handsome. But even though her heart skipped a beat, her expression remained passive.

"I'm sorry, Bel," he said.

"It's Bella," she corrected, frowning.

She did not like it when he said 'Bel''.

She did not like it because she liked it.

"I prefer Bel," he stated.

Nina groaned loudly and rolled her eyes.

"Can we get this over with, please? Bella, we have things to do. A lot of things. So sit down and let's have this meeting, shall we?"

"I couldn't agree more," Emiko said, sitting down.
