The second meeting

He was grinning as he walked from his front door to the little white picket fence.The reason he was grinning was on the other side,clad in a black tank top and a lemon green high waisted skirt.
"Hi,Emiko!"Nina said,and swung her hair over her shoulder.
"My Nini,"he stopped right in front of the gate and assessed her unabashedly from head to toe."Looking as fine as new wine,girl."
She giggled."As always."
"Well,come on in,babe."
He unlocked the little gate and locked it back after she stepped into the driveway.
They turned at the same time, and at once,their faces were inches apart.Nina laughed and so did he.
Then he leaned forward.
"Uhm,"she cleared her throat. He stopped.
"What?"he asked.His face was still very close to hers.
Nina moved closer to him."I've got one rule,Emi."
"And what's that,my princess?" he asked,smiling.
"Throughout our sessions..."She wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Uh-huh?"he encouraged.
She traced one manicured fingertip from his lips down to his chest.
"There will be...,"she continued.
"Be what,Nini?"
Their faces were so close now that he could just reach out and trace her lips with the tip of his tongue.
"Throughout our sessions, there will be no touching or kissing,"she concluded and abruptly detached herself from him.Then she took two steps backwards.
Emi felt as though he'd been plunged into cold water.
He shook his head to clear his mind."Uh,what now?"
"You heard me,hon,"Nina said sweetly.
Emiko looked at her incredulously."Are you serious,Nina?"
"But of course,Emi,have I given you any cause to think the opposite?" she asked with her hand on her hip.
Emiko laughed.She didn't.
He frowned."You've gotta be kidding me here,Nini!You very nearly kissed me a few seconds ago."
"I'm sorry,when?" she cocked her head to the side in confusion.
She looked very serious,and now Emiko was confused.He hadn't been daydreaming,had he?
"Nina..,"he shook his head gently.
"Yea,babe?"she grinned widely,which confused him even more.
He sighed and looked down.That's when he saw it.
He took her arm.
"Why is your hand bandaged,Nina?"he asked,tracing the bandage with his fingers.
Fear crept into her eyes,then disappeared quickly as she smiled."Nothing,just a small cut.I got it from working in the kitchen." She laughed and waved her hand."It's nothing much."
She tried to remove her hand from his but his grip was firm.She looked at him and knew that he hadn't believed her.He was looking at her with a straight face.
"Nina,I'm gonna ask again,why is your hand bandaged?"he asked brusquely.
She shifted uncomfortably,and gave a fake laugh. "I told you already,Emi.Its just a small cut from a kitchen knife.It's not serious.I'm really careless in the kitchen.Heck ,I can't even cook!"
He was still staring at her.She shuffled her feet.
"Uh,can you let go of my arm now,Emi?"
He released her,and sighed.
"Okay,Nina.I'll believe you...for now."
She smiled and moved towards him."Can we go inside now?"
"Sure,"he replied and led her into his two storey house.

The aroma from the food was so good that the dog jumped unto the kitchen counter to peer into the big bubbling pot.
Bella was humming a fine Spanish tune as she chopped some more tomatoes on the chopping board.She turned to check on the food and gasped.
"Get down from there,Miguel!Ahora!"she yelled.
The dog scampered off.She groaned aloud,muttering something about getting rid of the dog,then tasted the stew.
She smiled,satisfied with the result.
"Momma woulda been proud of me,wouldn't she?"she said to Miguel,who was sitting in the corner,his ears perked up.
He barked once in response and wagged his tail eagerly.
"Yeah,that's right,Miguel."She poured the chopped tomatoes into the pot."Now don't think just cos you agreed with me I'm gonna let you have a bite,baby."
His ears went down and he whined.
She laughed.
"I'm just kidding,"she said,stooping.She bent one knee and tapped the other."Come 'ere,you lil' sweetheart."
Miguel obliged enthusiastically, and soon she was rubbing his head on her lap.Suddenly,he barked.
"What's that?"she frowned.
His ears were up now and he was barking loudly at something behind her.She turned to see what it was,but it was a who instead.
She stood up."Joshua?"
