Hello people, I just thought that I would update because it's been a while since I met my best friend and I've been missing her like crazy. Hopefully she'll read this chapter!
On a different note, this chapter will consist only of Shelby and Jennifer because we all have to agree to it, everybody needs a little best friend time. Enjoy lovelies!!!
Jennifer's POV
I paced around in my living room, thinking of ways to lay my cards in front of Shelby. I felt that talking to her about my feelings was the best thing I could do now. She would tell me what to do.
The bell rang and I ran to the door to open it. Infront of me was my best friend, grinning at me like an idiot while holding a bag full of potato chips and coke. I smiled at her before hugging the shit out of her.
"Woah girl, you want to crush those chips?"
"No I don't."
"Can I come in?"
"Yeah, sure. It's been a while since we actually did this..."
"I know but we usually don't hangout on a Friday, I mean tomorrow's our day, right?"
"I just had to talk to you today, it's kind of important."
"What? Wait, let me guess... You finally managed to kick Aaron in the shins because you lost your big valedictorian opportunity because of him?" She asked with a smirk.
"Nope but I will pay him back in some way, trust me. And about the valedictorian thing, I really don't care about it now."
"Huh? Really?"
"Yup, these past few weeks have changed my perspective about life and now I really don't give shit about high school."
We eventually made our way to the couch and sat down.
"Which movie you wanna watch?" She asked me.
"How about we just talk and talk and talk today?" I suggested.
"That sounds perfect."
"So, how's life? How are your preparations coming along for the exams?"
"Dude, you just started the conversation on a sour subject."
"Still hate studying, I see..."
"Yes, always will hate studying."
"How are things going with Michael?"
At my question, she blushed a deep red hue. However forward and an extrovert my friend be, Michael's name would always cause her cheeks to turn pink. Their relationship had their share of ups and downs but they made it work.
"It's good."
"Only good?" I asked. Teasing her was fun!
"Uhmmm, well, we're stupidly in love with each other and it's feels so..."
"Tell me, what's it like to be in a committed relationship like that?"
Her eyes twinkled and glistened with sheer joy. Times like these, I could practically imagine them growing old together.
"I love him Jennifer, I love him so much, sometimes I feel that it's dangerous to fall so deep in love with someone. I fear that maybe like what happened a few months ago, how I didn't trust him and my world shattered. I can't live without him, my living depends on him being there for me, with me."
"You people are so meant to be together." She wiped the tears that had rolled down her cheeks during her mini-speech.
"What about you? Found someone special yet?"
