Matt's POV

"You almost ready?" Brian asked, just bursting into my room.

"Yep." I mumbled, fixing up my shirt.

He frowned at me. "You didn't go to much effort." He muttered, looking me up and down.

I looked at myself in the mirror. Much effort, please. I looked fucking good, I knew that and the clothes I'd chosen showed of my body. I worked hard to maintain this body and I wanted people to see it.

"It's your date." I told him, grabbing my wallet and my phone and putting them in my pocket. "I'm just along for the ride."

Brian smiled, shaking his head at me. "Maybe you might enjoy yourself Matt."

Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't, I guessed we would see. "Eh maybe." I muttered, playing it down.

"Come on." Brian said shaking his head. "I told Dani we'd be there ten minutes ago."

I followed him to the car. He was so keen, he must really like this Dani girl. I mean it was obvious. I'd told him a thousand times not to be so obvious when you liked someone, but Brian always wore his heart on his sleeve, I however didn't and I never would. I just felt it made me look weak, and a little less manly. I showed affection in private, it wasn't necessary to shove it in people's faces.

I climbed in the car, putting on my seatbelt as we drove to Dani's place.

"Kat's at Dani's." Brian explained as we drove.

I nodded. "Where are we going?" I asked.

"Dinner." He said smiling. "Then maybe a movie."

I nodded, a movie sounded good. I mean I was doing this for Brian, so whatever he wanted to do, and who knew, maybe I'd get a little fun out of this Kat girl and by fun I meant the horizontal kind.

We pulled up in the drive and Brian turned off the car, looking at me. "Come on." He said getting out.

I opened my door. I wasn't sure why I had to go to the door, but I wasn't going to argue with him at this point in time.

Brian knocked and we waited and finally the door opened.

"Hi." Dani said smiling widely.

I could see why Brian was interested. She was a very attractive girl and she looked sensational.

"Hi." Brian said leaning over and kissing her cheek.

I stood there, shuffling my feet, looking around and ignoring them while the ogled each other.

"Hi Matt." Dani said suddenly to me. "It's nice to meet you."

"And you." I said putting on my best smiled.

"Well." Brian said. "Are you ready?"

"Yep." Dani said. "Kat, come on." She called.

There was noise further in the house and suddenly she appeared. Kat. I looked at her, god she was even better than I remembered and just the sight of her took my breath away.

"I must say." Brian said as Dani locked the door. "You two ladies look absolutely beautiful tonight. Right Matt?"

I shrugged. "I guess." I muttered walking to the car.

Why the fuck would he drag me into that? Yes, Kat looked senfuckingsational, but I wasn't going to tell her that. I was sure she already knew it.

"So." Kat said smiling as we settled into the back seat of the car. "How's your hand?"

I held it up, showing her. "Well it doesn't hurt as bad as it did, but I have this damn plaster on for a few more weeks." And it was annoying the fuck out of me.

"Poor Matt." She said softly, smiling at me.

And that was it, the way she said my name. I felt my heart race a little and I felt a little flutter in my stomach. Oh god, this was bad.

"Yes." I said grinning at her. "Poor me."

She just smiled and went to looking out the window, the rest of the trip was in silence.

We arrived at the restaurant and as we walked inside, Brian took Dani's hand. Yep, he was going all out tonight, not that I blamed him, she seemed a nice girl.

The waiter led us to the table and I watched as Brian pulled Dani's chair out for her. I shook my head, sitting down as Kat sat next to me.

"Wine?" Brian suggested and the girl's nodded their heads.

We all got comfortable, the wine arrived and then the menu's and I sat back, listening to the other three talk.

They were discussing everything and I smiled at the mention of the band. They had no idea we were in a band and I kind of liked that, so innocent.

"So." Kat said looking at me. "You're the lead singer?"

"I certainly am." I told her, putting on my best smile.

"Oh." She said frowning slightly and going back to her wine.

I looked at her out of the corner of my eyes. She was a very attractive and her personality seemed to match. I sat there thinking about that night in hospital and I vaguely remembered her touch, it was so soft and I found myself wishing she would touch me again.

"So." Brian said after we'd finished our meal. "Would you like to catch a movie?" He asked, looking at the girl's.

"I'd love to." Dani told him softly and Kat nodded, glancing at me.

"Well." Brian said. "You ladies wait outside while we fix up the bill."

"Okay." Dani said and I watched as they both rose, heading for the door with their heads together, whispering furiously.

"So." Brian said, pulling out his wallet. "What do you think?"

I knew this was coming. "Yeah she's okay." I mumbled, grabbing my wallet.

"Yeah okay." He smiled, standing up. "Only okay."

I frowned, following him. What did he expect from me, to declare my undying love for her? I liked her, but he didn't need to know that.

We all went to the movies and as we sat in the dark, I could hear Dani and Brian whispering, sharing their drink and popcorn. I frowned, I had my own drink and popcorn and I wasn't sharing it with anybody. If Kat wanted her own she should have got it herself.

I attempted to concentrate on the movie but I struggled, well with Brian and Dani carrying on and Kat sitting next to me, I had a hard time concentrating, but finally it ended and we could go home.

I was surprised with myself that I was a little disappointed about that, about the night ending and as we arrived at Dani's and he walked Dani to the door, I looked at Kat and smiled.

"Um, so do you think I could get your number." I asked her, drinking in her perfect skin.

She frowned at me, looking confused. "Um, I guess." She mumbled, giving me her number.

I quickly put it in my phone and watched her get out of the car.

"See ya." I called waving and she just frowned again, walking up the path.

There was something about her, there really was. I was definitely going to call her.
