Kat's POV

"Hey Kat." Matt called out, walking in the front door.

"What?" I called back.

Suddenly he appeared in the door of the living room. "I hope you don't mind but I asked Brian and Dani over for dinner tonight."

I shrugged. "Yeah that's fine." I told him. "What are we having?"

"I'll find something." He said walking off towards the kitchen.

It had been almost a week since we'd returned from our trip to Vegas and I had to admit, being married was no different. Once we'd returned home we just went back to our normal lives. Me working and Matt doing his band stuff. I mean I didn't expect anything different, but still I was a little disappointed that nothing had really changed, well except for the fact that I was married to the love of my life.

"Um so." He said walking back in. "I thought we might tell them about us."

I looked at him. "I think they already know about us Matt." I laughed.

"No." He mumbled leaning over and kissing my forehead. "About us being married, I think it's time we told everyone."

I nodded, smiling. "Okay." I was glad, I wanted to tell the whole damn world. "Will your parents be okay?"

He nodded. "Yeah." He murmured. "I don't think they'll mind."

I nodded as well, I knew mine wouldn't, they adored Matt.

"Wanna help me with a salad?" He asked kissing me again and I nodded, following him into the kitchen.

We chatted and prepared dinner, waiting for Brian and Dani to arrive. I was a little nervous because I knew of anyone would have a problem with us being married it would be Dani.

Finally the doorbell rang and while Matt went to answer it I got out a few beers and a bottle of wine, heading out the back and placing them on the table. As I sat down getting comfortable the three of them came out the back, smiling and talking.

"Well." Dani said sitting down next to me. "How was it?"

I poured us both a glass of wine and smiled. "It was great." I told her. "Just what I needed, a few days away to recharge the batteries."

"It sounds wonderful." Dani said looking at Brian. "Take note Bri." She told him. "I could use a few days away."

"Just say the word." Brian said leaning over and kissing her. "And I'll whisk you away."

Matt looked at me and rolled his eye's. I poked my tongue out at him, I thought it was sweet and once again I was kind of wishing Matt would do that kind of thing.

Dani smiled at him, picking up her wine. "So." She said. "What did you do in Vegas? Fill me in, I want to know everything."

"Well." I started. "The room was absolutely amazing, so nice."

"Yeah and we went out for dinner." Matt told them.

"Hit a few casino's." I added. "And lost."

"Yeah." Matt said. "And we got married."

Brian burst out laughing. "A typical weekend in Vegas."

"Very funny." Dani mumbled.

"True." I said holding up my left hand so she could see the rings.

She frowned, looking at them.

"Oh fuck." Brian said. "You're serious?"

"Yeah." Matt told him. "I'm serious."

"Fuck." Brian said again, laughing some more. "You actually got married, I never thought you would."

Matt frowned. "Why does everyone say that?"

"I don't know." Brian said. "I just never thought it would happen. So what made you decide to get married?"

"Oh you know." Matt chuckled. "Kat was nagging me."

Now it was my turn to frown. I had not nagged him at all. It had been completely his idea, but here we were, back to the macho bullshit and god forbid if someone actually knew that it was him who had wanted to get married.

"Yeah right." Brian chuckled, picking up his beer.

"Gosh." Dani said standing up. "I'm a bit peckish, Kat come help me find something to nibble on."

Matt looked at me and raised his eyebrows as I got up, following her. I knew what was coming and as we walked inside I prepared myself for it.

"Kat." She said turning to face me. "Really?"

"What?" I asked, playing dumb.

"You married him?" She asked raising her eyebrow's at me.

"Yeah I did." I mumbled. "So what?"

"So what?" She snapped. "So what about how he treats you?"

I sighed. "Dani, what you see is not the Matt I see." I told her. "The Matt I see is so completely different."

"So you keep saying." She said. "Why the hell did you ask him to marry you after I told you specifically not too?"

"I didn't Dani." I said softly. "It was his idea. I told him about what you said to me on the phone that day and then he blurted out how he'd organised our wedding."

"Seriously?" She asked me, looking shocked at the prospect that this was all Matt's idea.

"Seriously." I told her. "Dani, he really is sweet."

She smiled at me. "I just want to see you happy Kat."

"And I am." I said going to the cupboard and grabbing a bag of chips. "I'm very happy."

"Good." She said and as I turned around she hugged me tightly. "You deserve the best Kat."

"And so do you." I told her, hugging her back.

"So." She laughed, pulling away from me and heading for the back door. "Mrs Matthew Sanders."

"God." I giggled following her. "That sounds so strange."

"It does." She laughed.

"But so good." I added softly and it did, it was the nicest thing I'd ever heard.

"Well." Dani announced walking back out to the boys. "Congratulations you dumb shit." She said, leaning over and kissing Matt's cheek. "Hurt her and I'll kill you."

"I wouldn't dream of it." Matt told her smiling, then glancing at me, his eye's softening.

That signalled the end of marriage talk and we spent the rest of the night just talking and listening as the guy's discussed their next tour. This one was going to be a little longer and I'd agreed to go with Matt, I mean now I was his wife I had to go. I was overjoyed to hear that Dani would be coming on and off, in between work so I at least knew I would have company. Hopefully it would be fun and we'd enjoy ourselves.

"Why would you say I nagged you?" I asked Matt, later that night as we both climbed in bed.

"I was joking Kat." He murmured, pulling me closer.

"Good." I whispered as he kissed me softly, his hand caressing my leg. "Make it quick." I murmured as he pushed my shirt up.

"But I wanna go slow." He whispered softly, kissing my neck.

"Yeah well some photographer is coming into work tomorrow to take pictures and I want to look presentable." I murmured, pulling at his pants.

"Baby." He whispered. "You always look beautiful."

Goddamn him and his sweetness. It always caught me completely off guard, but I had to admit, I liked it and marrying him had been the right decision.
