Matt's POV

I woke up the morning after my party, my mouth was dry but I didn't care, because I was with Kat. She was in bed beside me, curled into a ball against me and I laid there for a little while watching her. God, how close had I come to losing her? I was an idiot, I was really was and as I laid there I vowed that I would never let this woman get away from me, ever.

Eventually my need for water made me get up and I kissed Kat's forehead softly before going out into the kitchen, ignoring the mess and drinking a bottle of water.

The people who were cleaning up would be here soon, so I waited for them and while they got busy I went and had a shower. It was while I was in the shower I had the idea.

I needed to take Kat away, somewhere where it was just her and I for a few days. A few days where we could just spend time together.

After my shower I went into my office, grabbing my laptop and looking for ideas. Vegas jumped out at me straight away and I got busy, booking the hotel, arranging flights and calling Kat's employer. They were only too happy to give her time off, after all she always worked whenever they needed her.

"We're done Mr Sanders." The head of the cleaning crew announced, walking back in.

I nodded. "Thanks." Congratulating myself on the brilliant idea of calling in cleaners.

"I guess your wife cleaned up a little last night." He went on. "Because it really wasn't that bad."

"I guess." I mumbled, not correcting him.

My wife? Just the mention of the word wife and my mind was running away from me. What would be more romantic than a few days away in Vegas? A surprise wedding. Yes, it was a brilliant idea.

"Fuck." I whispered to myself as I turned back to my laptop.

Marriage, god, it had never entered my mind before. But fuck me, I wanted to marry Kat, I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I didn't want to lose her and I wasn't willing let her go. She was made for me, I just knew it.

I sat there at my laptop and I organised our wedding. I organised the chapel, the rings and the dress for Kat. I knew my Kat and I was pretty sure I'd picked out a ring and a dress that she would love. Hell I was a romantic piece of shit.

"Yeah and she has you by the balls." I mumbled, standing up and heading back into the bedroom.

It was true, Kat did have me by the balls. I was hooked, I couldn't deny it.

I snuck into the room quietly and crawled back into bed. I wanted Kat to wake up so we could get organised.

She seemed a little snappy, but she agreed to coming away and that was all the mattered, so we laid there kissing for awhile before finally getting up and organised.

We got ready and headed off. The flight was short and finally we were at the hotel and I was pretty impressed with my choice, it was magnificent.

"So." I said handing Kat a glass of champagne. "What do you feel like doing tonight?"

She took a sip and looked around the room. "We could have dinner here." She said softly.

"Or we could go out?" I suggested but honestly I was happy just to spend time with her.

"Well I thought we could talk." She murmured and I felt my heart jump into my throat.

"Um yeah." I mumbled. "I guess we could order room service and talk."

She nodded, wandering off to inspect the rest of the room.

It made sense that she wanted to talk. I mean I did have some explaining to do and a bit more apologising. I'd been an ass.

"Matt." She called from the bathroom. "It has a spa."

"Well yeah." I said walking into the bathroom.

"It's bigger than yours." She said smiling.

"But mine is more cosy." I murmured pulling her into my arms.

She laughed softly and I kissed her. Fuck, I really loved her.

"Maybe we can compare them." She murmured against my lips. "Try it out later."

"God yes." I whispered. "But lets have dinner first."

She smiled and followed me out to the living area where we decided what we wanted to eat.

I called room service and organised for them to make it all romantic and shit and sure enough a little while later they came up, setting the table with candles, putting the meal out and more champagne on ice.

It looked perfect.

"This is nice." Kat said sitting down and picking up her glass.

"It is nice." I said smiling. "Just me and you."

She smiled, putting her glass down. "What happened Matt?" She asked, looking at me.

I looked at her. I knew it was coming. "Well I don't know Kat." I said softly. "I just lost my temper."

"What did you expect me to do?" She asked, still looking at me.

I shrugged. "I don't know, maybe say something, to me at least."

"And what." She said sounding a little snappier. "Have you yell at me for saying that about her?"

I sighed. "Look Kat, I fucked up and I'm sorry."

"Yeah you fucked up." She murmured.

"I know okay." I said reaching over and taking her hand. "I don't want to lose you baby." And that was the cold hard truth.

"I don't want to lose you." She murmured and I felt my chest tighten. Hearing her say it meant so much.

"You won't Kat." I said squeezing her hand softly. "Ever."

We finished our dinner, then picked a few movies to watch, laying on the big couch in the room.

Kat laid there watching the movie, I laid there watching Kat. Kissing her, caressing her, just enjoying her.

"Matt." She murmured, turning over to face me.

"Yes?" I whispered, kissing her cheeks, her nose and then her lips.

"Why aren't you like this all the time?" She whispered, smiling at me.

"What do you mean?" I murmured, kissing her softly again.

"Why don't you let people see this side of you." She murmured, touching my cheek. "This sweet side."

"Because." I whispered pulling her closer. "This is only for you."

She smiled and closed her eye's as I kissed her again.

"Kat." I whispered against her lips.

"Hmmm?" She murmured.

"I love you."

I felt her smile against my lips. "I love you, you emotional retard."

I kissed her again, laughing. I was her emotional retard.
