Chapter 12: Birthday Girl

*One week later*

I woke up early and took a shower. Once I was dressed, I left Natalia a note on the dresser. After eating breakfast, I texted Mateo and Alex to meet me at the base.

*Two hours later*

*Natalia's POV*

I turned to my side, expecting to see Fernando there, but he wasn't. I got off the bed, and started heading towards the door, but before I went out the room, there was a note on the dresser that caught my attention.

Mi Amor [my love],
Happy birthday beautiful. Sorry I left so early, I had to go fill some paperwork out at the base, and check how things were going. Make sure you relax today. Go to the pool, go on a walk, or hangout with Camila and Victoria. As long as you relax and enjoy yourself, I'll be happy.
P.S. Check your messages I sent you something...

Eagerly, I unlocked my phone and went to messages.

*Video*
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" Alex, Mateo, Fernando, and the men at the base yelled.
"Happy birthday, hermosa [beautiful]. Hope you have an amazing morning and I love you. Enjoy your birthday, I'll see you soon."
*End of video*

I exited out of the video and texted him.

Me: Thank you, babe. 😭❤️

Amor❤️💍: Anything for you, mi princesa.❤️👑

Me: Don't stay out too late. I'm gonna go eat breakfast, then text Camila and Victoria to come over.

Amor❤️💍: Okay, I love you.😍

Me: I love you, too.😘

The door bell rang, so I got up from watching tv, and opened the door.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" Victoria and Camila yelled as they engulfed me in a hug.

"Aww, thanks you guys." We walked to the living room and sat down.

"We got you a little something." Camila said with a smirk as she handed me a bag.

"What is it?" I asked unsurely.

"Open it." Victoria said. I opened the bag and took the piece of clothing out; my checks immediately turned a light shade of pink.

"Natalia you act like you don't own lingerie already." Camila said.

"Well I do, but, you guys just caught me off guard."

"Just accept the damn thing. I'm sure Fernando would love to see you in that." Victoria smirked.

"Victoria!" I gasped as I slapped her shoulder, causing us to laugh a few seconds later.

"Thanks guys." I put the gift back in the bag.

"So, how's it going with the the Rodriguezs'?"

"Oh my god." They both said excitedly.

We ended up in an engrossed conversation about the guys.

After I finished up at the base, I looked at the time, and my eyes widened when I saw it was Six O'Clock p.m. I quickly grabbed the presents that were in my office, and left the base.
