San Franciso

"What?" gulat kong tanong.

I doesn't really know Danrick Mendoza. But I know that he is one of our major shareholders.

Apxfel closed his fist.

"I know this will happen. But I never thought it would be this early." aniya.

Ngayon ay hindi ko na maintindihan.

Humawak siya sa kanyang sentido at napailing.

"I don't understand." tugon ko rito.

Matagal akong nawala sa trabaho. Kaya naman nung bumalik ako ay marami nang naiba sa kumpanya. And I know it got better as much as how it was before.

He took a deep breath.

"Danrick is Phillip Mendoza's uncle. I already concluded this when Phillip build his new business. Na panigurado ay sa kanya maglalagak ng pera ang tiyuhin."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa narinig. I didn't expected this. How come I did not notice it before?!

"We... we can convince him not to withdraw his shares." sabi ko nang may maisip na plano. "Let's plan a good proposal for him. Alam kong kaya natin iyon."

Napatingin si Apxfel sa akin. Nakita kong nagliwanag ang mga mata niya ngunit panandalian lamang iyon.

"We can't." he said. "Blood will always be thicker than water."

Napahinto ako sa kanyang sinabi.

Tama siya, pero hindi naman mali kung subukan diba?

"Yes, but I think that we should give it a try. We both know that he can earn so much more with us. We can use that as a parameter." I told him.

Unti unti siyang tumango.

"You're right. We should have a meeting with the other board members regarding this." anito sabay kuha sa kanyang telepono at tinawagan ang sekretarya para sa meeting.

Pagkatapos nang mahabang pagpupulong, we all came to the decision on making a proposal for Mr. Danrick Mendoza for him to keep his shares.

The proposal has been carefully planned. Kung hindi siya papayag sa una, we will go through Plan B. If not and then Plan C.

Pinaalam na rin namin ito sa mga magulang namin ukol sa gagawing aksyon. Sumangayon sila roon.

Nang makasakay na kami ni Apxfel sa kotse ay agad kumunot ang kanyang noo.

"Bakit?" I asked.

"I heard that Danrick Mendoza is at San Francisco. He will stay there for weeks and it will be too late if we just wait here." sagot niya.

Agad akong nag-isip ng maaari naming gawing hakbang.

"I can go to SanFo and present to him our proposal." sabi ko.

It will surely be hard but if that's the only way then I would.

Umiling si Apxfel.

"Wife, no. Just leave it to me." he said.

Alam kong nag aalala lamang siya sa magiging lagay ko roon.

"But, you can't go there. Hindi mo pwedeng iwanan ang kumpanya."

Narinig ko ang malalim niyang paghinga.

"I don't want you to go, wife. Iba na lang. Let's send one board member instead." suhestiyon niya na agad ko namang tinanggihan.
