Everything was packed up and ready for the journey to the large manor that belonged to Sebastian's father. Ciel had packed up the outfits he had and had placed them inside the carriage. He didn't want to leave Finny or Meyrin or Bard but he did want to see Daniel, Amy, Alois, Murmur and Lilitu again. He said goodbye to everyone at the door waving brightly as he adjusted the eyepatch covering his contract. "Come Ciel we must go" Sebastian turned to him as his large coat swayed in the wind. Ciel nodded and pulled his sleeves over his hands. Sebastian turned and went to the carriage getting in. Ciel waved at the others and ran to the carriage climbing in. As the carriage drove off Ciel knelt on the seat waving to the others until they were out of view. He turned around to face his Master and smiled.

Sebastian already had his face in a newspaper. The little boy smiled again to himself and watched out of the window at the trees go by. He had forgotten what the outside world looked like. He didn't know that the black trees that seemed to grab at you silhouetted in the red daylight wasn't what earth was like. He didn't know that the sky could be any different colour than red or black. He didn't know that the animals he saw prowling the streets or surveying from up above weren't like what animals were on earth but he didn't care. Earth wasn't his home anymore. This world was. Ironic really that a place that people would consider full of endless suffering and hate would be the beloved home to an innocent little boy who's life had been filled with hardships, suffering and hate.

The journey was long and tiresome and Ciel had curled himself up into a ball on the seat. Sebastian had made a habit of bringing a blanket just in case the little boy fell asleep. It was rather warm but he still didn't want him to be cold. He placed the blanket over the little ones body and put his newspaper down. He looked at the innocent little boy who felt so comfortable in front of his Master that he could leave himself vulnerable as he drifted into a peaceful sleep. Sebastian smiled softly at the boy.

A few hours later and the carriage drew to a halt. The sudden jolt woke Ciel with a start and he looked around. "It's okay Ciel. We're just having a break" Sebastian told him. The boy nodded and sat up holding onto the blanket. He looked out of the windows. He hadn't ever been in this place before. "Have you eaten?" Sebastian asked his little servant boy. The boy bit his lip. "Today?" He asked. Sebastian nodded. "Erm... no master. I haven't eaten today. I ate last night" he told him. The master raised an eyebrow. "Why not?" He asked. Ciel muttered something under his breath. "Ciel" his master said warningly "you know I hate when you mutter".
"Sorry Master" he bit his lip. "I'm not hungry in the morning... I don't ever eat in the morning".
"I'm going to get you some food. You need it. Today will be probably be very tiresome for you".
"Please sir you don't have to... I don't want to be trouble".
"It's not trouble. I don't want you ill now do I. Let's get out here. There are shops". Ciel nodded and opened the door for him. Sebastian thanked him and got out. Ciel got out after him. "Stay at my side Ciel. Don't speak to anyone and don't look anyone in the eye. This is for your own safety". The servant nodded and looked down staying close to his masters side. Sebastian crossed the road and Ciel followed his footsteps. As he was told not to look anyone in the eye the little boy didn't look up at all. Sebastian physically had to guide him until he sighed and said "you can look up just don't look people in the eyes". Ciel nodded and looked up. He couldn't help but look around. He had just started to accompany his Master on carriage journeys. The little boy didn't know many other demons so the many demons going about there business interested him. Sebastian took him into a shop and bought some food for himself and the boy. Demons can survive without eating but most demons do eat as it helps with energy levels and health. Demons can live off of souls but that is rare. Ciel stayed obediently by his masters side the whole time. The shop keeper was an older demon with red hair and long nails. Her skin was tinged a slight blue colour. "Well behaved little one you have. How old is he?" she asked Sebastian beaconing to Ciel. Ciel kept his eyes firmly on the ground. Sebastian looked at his servant and raised an eyebrow. He didn't know. "Go on Ciel tell the woman how old you are" he said to him.
"I'm ten years old Ma'am" he told her. She smiled at him and offered him a lollipop.
"Here you go dear take one". Sebastian tapped his shoulder and nodded at him. The little servant reached over and took it thanking her. "Thank you so much ma'am". The woman smiled and Sebastian led him out of the shop and back to the carriage.
"Are you sure you're human" Sebastian smirked a little at the boy. Ciels eyes widened.
"Yes Master I'm defiantly human" he told him. Sebastian chuckled.
"I was kidding Ciel I said that because of your ability to just make everyone like you". Ciel smiled.
"It's no ability Master. I don't do anything". Sebastian laughed.
"You're yourself and that's what makes people like you. Now eat up and get some rest we still have a rather long journey ahead of us". Ciel nodded and ate the food which Sebastian bought for him.
