His Master, Fallen

Ciel awoke to the sound of bustling footsteps walking towards the room. If he wasn't mistaken it was Meyrin the heel clicks and the occasional stumble, yes definitely Meyrin. There was a knock on the door and the lady pushed it open placing a tray of food down beside the boy. He sat up and smiled at her. "How are you feeling today Ciel?" She asked.
"Better. Much better. Thank you miss" he smiled.
"It's Meyrin Ciel. You don't have to call me miss you know" she knelt beside him.
"I know but still" he looked at her eyes which were vaguely visible through her large glasses. He's seen her with her glasses off once. She had large brown eyes. She was pretty underneath the glasses. He never understood why she wore them. "Eat it'll make you feel better, yes it will" she smiled standing up.
"Thank you" Ciel began to eat before carefully drinking the tea making sure he didn't burn his lip on the hot liquid. He took a sip and smiled a little. "Earl grey?" He asked.
"I believe it is yes, why?"
"I had this all the time at home with my mother. I was ill often so I would cuddle in her bed and sleep beside her drinking earl grey. It was my favourite." Ciels eyes sparkled with a sort of sadness as he thought about his mother, her beautiful smile, her kind, loving nature...

He put his cup down and started on his food. He didn't eat as much as Meyrin wanted but at least he ate so she took the plate from him and told him to relax. "Take the day off Ciel. You had an asthma attack that could've been quite deadly."
"But my duties..."
"They can be put on hold for one day." She left the room leaving no time for arguments with the little boy. He didn't want to sleep or relax for that matter so he got up and went to the window. He wasn't in his room. He was in the spare bedroom for Murmur and Daniel usually. He sat on the windowsill thinking about his friends. He was wondering how Amy was feeling, if the marking had affected Daniel yet, if Lili was taking her medication, wondering just how many instruments Murmur could play, hoping that Alois wasn't beaten and bruised. His mind strangely skipped to Elizabeth who, in his day dream, was sitting beside a dollhouse staring bluntly at the sky, she had no emotion. She wasn't smiling. Elizabeth always smiled. All of his memories with her consisted of her smiling. His mind then flicked to another who's pale hand fondly patted the other on the head "I'll always protect you especially when you're too ill to protect yourself. That's a promise." Ciel shook his head taking his mind off the whole thing. He didn't want to think about them right now. They were happy memories but at the same time sad memories because they were never going to happen again. He knew that as a fact. He liked being a servant but he would just like one opportunity to properly  say goodbye because he never had that. Aunt Angeline, Elizabeth, Mother, Father, Ciel, everyone. He never got the chance to say goodbye.

He distracted his mind and breathed slowly looking out of the window. He noticed that a little girl was playing in the garden and he smiled. It was Lilitu. She must've come with the twins. He noticed Meyrin going outside and speaking to her. She smiled excited and rushed inside.

"Are you Lady Lilitu?" Meyrin asked the girl.
"I am. What's your name?" she smiled looking this strange new person up and down.
"Meyrin my lady I've been sent to inform you that Ciel is awake and has eaten. You can visit him if you wish."
"I'd like that a lot. Thank you Meyrin" she giggled and then ran into the house. She wasn't looking where she was going and knocked straight into Finnian who was walking in the opposite direction. They both fell to the floor but Finny jumped right back up again being used to bumps and bruises. He thought it was Ciel but paled much more when he realised it was a little noble girl. "I'm so sorry my lady. I wasn't looking where I was going. Are you okay?" He knelt down beside her.
"Yes yes I'm fine. I should've been looking where I was going." She had scraped her knee on the floor. "Let me take you to the master" Finny offered his hand and she took it trying to get herself up but she felt like she had twisted her ankle and she had forgotten to take her medication in the rush of leaving so early. She flinched slightly. "If you'll allow me I can carry you inside" he held his arms out for her and she took the offer hoping one of her brothers had brought her her medication or some pain killers. He carried her inside fearing the worse for himself. "Please miss what's your name?" He asked.
"Lilitu. What is yours?"
"Finnian my lady." She smiled softly.
"Ciel has told me all about you" she told him. He smiled weakly. He braced himself before knocking on the main hall door where Sebastian, Gilgamesh and Enkidu were all sat, talking. "Enter Finnian" Sebastian called. The boy opened the door and carried the girl in. "Lilitu? What happened?" Enkidu asked.
"I was running back inside and I collided with Finnian by accident. I didn't take my medicine so it hurt my ankle." She explained. Finny cowered ever so slightly afraid of being shouted at or beaten.
"Did you apologise?" Gilga asked.
"Yes my lord I did. I'm really sorry" Finny interjected quickly. The two doctors chuckled.
"Lili I was talking to you. Did you apologise for knocking into the boy?"
"I forgot... I'm really sorry for bumping into you Finnian"
"No need to apologise. It's fine" he smiled at her putting her down. She leant on him.
"I left your medicine in the carriage. Finnian can you please go... enter Ciel... and grab my large brown bag in the carriage" Finnian looked at the master blankly a second before nodding, bowing and rushing out passing Ciel on the way in.
"I sensed you outside. You should've knocked instead of hovering. It is rather annoying" Enkidu told the little boy.
"I'm sorry my lord" he looked down.
"Ciel! I'm glad you're awake" Lilitu smiled at him. He smiled back.
"It's thanks to my lords that I am awake. Thank you. Thank you. A million times thank you" Ciel bowed.
"You should've told Sebastian you suffer from asthma you do realise that don't you" Enkidu told the boy sternly. He nodded shyly.
"It explains why he always passes out" Lili said "he always breathes heavily then passes out."
"Very true Lili. Tell me Ciel do you have any other illnesses?"
"When I was younger I was always ill. My aunt was a doctor she was always there to look after me. I had really bad asthma."
"We'll have to do some check ups on you to make sure. We'll get a fellow doctor who specialises in human illness to check you over as well."
"Thank you my lords." There was a knock on the door.
"I have the medicine my lords" Finny entered and handed the twins the bag. He was a bit confused as to which twin he had to give it to as they were both so similar in every way. "Thank you. You may go back to your duties" they told him. He bowed and left smiling at Ciel. One of the twins gave the medicine to Lili and she sat down to give her ankle rest.
"You must rest today Ciel" Sebastian told him.
"My lord I'm fine. I can work. It's nothing too bad." Ciel looked determined to do his duties, he had missed out on doing them for what seemed like months.
"What are the doctors orders?" Sebastian asked his brothers who looked at each other in unison and said together.
"As long as it is not too strenuous and doesn't involve heavy lifting you may work."
"Thank you my lords!"
"You are excused." Ciel bowed and left the room to go and start on his jobs. The twins turned to Sebastian. "We knew he would just pester you to work if we didn't let him."

"It hurts all over" her quiet voice moaned holding her stomach.
"It's going to be okay Amira I promise" her mother gave her a mixture of herbs to soothe her stomach as she chanted some spells to help sooth her. The little girl had been allowed home to see her mother and siblings since the marking happened. She lay beside her sister. "Not only did it mark me, it was my first kiss as well... I wanted to save that for someone special" the girl looked down sadly.
"Someone special?"
"Yes. There is someone I like. A lot. I don't think he likes me though. In that way. He's my best friend. It'll be weird. We're different species too. Me a demon and him..." she paused for a second. "A fallen angel."

((Chapter 50! Thank you guys for sticking with me this far. Honestly it makes me so happy that people read my story and comment and like It's all a young writer like me could ever want really. I've got some ideas for upcoming chapters or arcs in my story. One of these includes the a sad story linking back to Grim Reapers, another about Finny, Meyrin and Bard learning it is Ciels birthday.
