It seemed Lilitu and Murmur left as quickly as they came. Freckles had come out of his shell more with the two which was a good thing in Ciels eyes. The family spent most of their time together playing their instruments. Lilitu could also play the violin and Murmur could play basically any instrument that is put in front of him. The most beautiful in Ciel's eyes was the piano. Sebastian had got Finny to pull out the piano he had left in the basement for many years and place it in the main room. On one of the days the siblings went out into the town leaving Ciel and the rest of the servants to finish their jobs and have some free time. Ciel was cleaning in the main room. A piano. His mother used to play the piano when he was little. She tried to teach him it. They played together learning to play songs in French and English. He went over to clean the piano. It was old. It was made out of red wood and the keys were clean ivory. His finger ran across the delicate surface and he gently pressed down a key. It was a C note if he remembered his training. Could he remember anything else? He bit his lip shyly before looking around. If he played the keys quietly no one else would hear. He sat on the stool that was before it. Could he even remember any of the things that he had learnt when he was younger? It's not that hard. Come on think.

Freckles was passing the main room on his way to the bathroom when he heard the music being played. His master was out so it couldn't have been him and it was too simple a tune for it to have been Murmur or even Lilitu to be playing. He gently opened the door and looked in. He saw his friend sat by the piano entranced by the instrument in front of him. "Ciel?" Freckles called out. The boy quickly jumped up and shut the lid of the instrument. "Oh Freckles. Erm. Hi. I'm nearly done in here..." he was embarrassed at being caught.
"I didn't know you played?"
"No I don't really, I haven't played in years. I was just... well it brought back a lot of memories hearing a piano being played. Please don't tell Master." He looked down ashamed of himself.
"I won't tell him don't worry." Freckles told him simply. "I'm just going to the bathroom then I will be baking with Mey if you want to join us." Ciel nodded and quickly cleaned the piano before rushing off to join the other servants.

Later that night Ciel was passing the main room on his way to bed, it was later than he usually went to bed due to the fact that Freckles wasn't feeling well at all. He could hear something coming from in the main room. He knocked gently and the playing stopped. He pushed the door open gently. "My lord?" He asked quietly.
"Oh good Ciel it's only you" the voice sighed a breath of relaxation.
"Lilitu?"
"I couldn't sleep. I like the piano" she blushed a little "what are you doing awake so late?"
"Freckles isn't feeling well at all. Master asked me to put him in one of the spare rooms so he was close to a bathroom and was able to get fresh air."
"I hope he's feeling okay."
"He's going to be fine. He has a high temperature that's all. He's having problems with breathing as well but he's doing better now he's in his night clothes."
"We should get our brothers to look at him."
"Master said he'll be okay. His stress levels have been hitting high points these last few days. He's worked himself up." Ciel came into the room and walked over to the piano.
"How long have you been playing?"
"Not so long. The piano was always Murmurs thing. I play the flute and the violin. I'm learning though. Our family has an ease in learning instruments. We can all play at least one." Lilitu looked down at the ivory.
"Do you play Ciel?" She asked.
"When I was very young I learnt yes."
"Play something for me. Please" she moved up on the stool and Ciel sat down.
"It's been a long time I don't know if I can remember anything." He started to try some thing out seeing if he could remember it. It was shaky and he played the wrong note maybe once or twice but for a child who's not properly played in many years it really wasn't bad. Lilitu swapped from looking at his hands to his face. This little boy had so many talents it was actually rather incredible. She never expected humans to be as interesting and as individual as demons were. From a young age she learnt this:
Demons are superior
Angels are evil
Reapers are a threat
Humans are toys
She would still believe all of that if not for her family. She learnt that some angels are lovely like Daniel. Not all angels because she knew what they did to the poor boy. She learnt that humans are not play things, they have thoughts, feelings and opinions. They are special, well at least Ciel is.
