A week had passed in the Michaelis Manor and so Ciel was up and ready wandering around the kitchen waiting for Mey Rin or Bard or Finnian to come and give him orders. His master wasn't awake yet.

He knew that today was the big day. The day in which he would go to Sebastian's fathers house.

Footsteps could be heard and the little boy rushed to the door to open it for whoever was on there way. Judging by the footsteps the boy could tell it was Finny on his way. They all have unique footsteps to him for example his masters steps can be so light and graceful if you didn't know he was coming but if he wanted people to know he was coming his steps grew more intense and loud. Meyrins footprints were quite specific as she wore small heels on her boots and would often miss steps out due to tripping or stumbling. Bards steps were horribly loud and rhythmic like he was taught how to step in perfect timing. Finally Finnys' footsteps he had accidentally cut his leg when he was weeding the garden and so walks on a slight limp so one footstep his heavier than the other. He walks quite fast too compared to Sebastian's slow and empowering steps Finny just seems like a little lost dog. Ciel smiled a little at his thoughts and opened the door just as Finnian walked through almost falling as he went to push it not paying attention. "Good morning Mr Finnian" Ciel smiled at Finny. The blonde boy chuckled.
"Good morning Ciel. You don't have to call me mister you know. I am only a couple of years older then you. Just call me Finny" he told him for around the tenth time. Ciel nodded but knew he would probably still call him by Mister. It was more respectful that way. He nodded.
"Do you have any jobs for me?" Ciel asked leaning up on his toes slightly.
"Why so rushed" Finny laughed softly. "It's still very early. Relax, eat some breakfast".
"I do not eat breakfast" Ciel shrugs simply.
"You should... it'll make you healthier" he tells him. Ciel shook his head.
"Thank you but no thank you". Finnian shrugged knowing better then to argue with the boy.

Ciel began to start his masters morning tray. It was always his job to serve the master and he wanted to prove himself by making the tray up himself. He had learnt how to make tea and cook food. He carefully began to carry the tray up the stairs being careful to duck under Meyrin who was clattering down the stairs and step aside so Bard could pass. He stepped over the stone on the stairs. He hadn't fallen on that in at least a month. He knocked on his masters door with his own signature knock. "Enter Ciel" Sebastian called to him. The servant pushed open the door with his free hand and opened it with his back. Walking into the room, the servant put the tea tray on the desk and bowed to his master. "Good morning master" he beamed.
"Good morning Ciel" he nodded back at him.
"How are you feeling this morning sir?" He asked.
"Not the best. Today is the day we are going to my fathers house". Ciel nodded. Sebastian took a sip of tea and sighed. Ciel stood by his door. "Ciel do you remember the rules I gave you when my family came around?" He asked turning to him. Ciel nodded. "I want to to act exactly how you acted those few days. You made me incredibly proud. You made a lasting impression on my family and helped that poor servant boy. You're such a kind, helpful child." Ciel blushed a little looking down. "Thank you Master. I liked your family. They were so kind to me". Sebastian smiled softly at the boy. "A word of warning though" Sebastian said seriously. The servant looked up and him and bit his lip.
"Try not to be left in a room alone with my father".
"Yes master". Sebastian nodded and dismissed the little servant. He bowed again and backed out of the room going back downstairs. He breathed out closing his eyes and leaning against a windowsill. He hoped he wasn't getting ill again. That was just awful. He opened his eyes and continued downstairs. He got to the kitchen corridor and heard talking. "The Master was talking to someone last night, yes he was. I'm not sure who.... couldn't tell you. He was talking about Ciel. It was very serious..." Meyrins voice ran through the empty hallway.
"Serious how?" Finnian asked.
"Very serious about the future for the boy... something about his soul. He mentioned his father too, yes he did" Meyrin told the other two.
"Bless the kid, shame about the contract. I'm sure he'd be much safer without it" Bard commented. Safer without the contract? Why would he be safer without it? "'E could just run away couldn't he. Be free. Not that he would want too but just in case ya know".

The servant adjusted his footsteps to be just a little louder so they knew he was coming. They started talking about a completely different topic after. He went into the kitchen asking if they had any jobs for him to do. "You can come and help me if you want Ciel" Finny smiled brightly. Ciel nodded. He really enjoyed working with Finny. Finny was only a few years old than Ciel and they could relate to each other more than the others.

A week before the little servant was sat in the gardens listening to Finny talking about his past. He was sweeping the path as Finny was weeding. "Mr Finny I heard you and Miss Meyrin talking about your past. Can you tell me how you met the master?" He asked as he saw Finny watching a small bird like creature flutter by.
"I can. It's not a very happy story unfortunately" he told him sitting on a stump. Ciel went over to him sitting by his feet.
"I didn't have a good childhood. I was used for experiments and they would often restrain and hurt me in attempts to make horrible creatures." Ciel gasped. "I couldn't take it anymore... I broke free and ran away. I had no where to go that's when the master found me. He offered me a place to stay, food,  water, work and freedom. I agreed and here I am". He looked at the red sky.
"I didn't know... I'm so sorry" he knelt up looking at him.
"Don't be I'm better now, I'm free and happy" Finny moved over on the stump and patted it. "Sit next to me I want to know about your past" he smiled. Ciel sat next to him his legs not reaching the ground. "My parents died when I was 7 years old and I was kidnapped and sold to a cult who tortured me and was going to use me as a sacrifice. The master came and saved me" he shrugged like it was nothing. Almost by accident Finny hugged the little boy.
"Ciel you are so brave" he told him. Ciel was shocked but hugged back. He liked that feeling.
"Everyone says I'm brave but I'm not really" the little servant boy shrugged.
